Stairs for kitty!
Love these little stairs/steps for our older cat. Tho’ not intended for outdoor use, we’ve put them outside on our fence so our older cat can get up to her favorite perch on the blockwall! We didnt use all the stair treads either because her stride is pretty long. Doing this gives us an “extra set” of treads to use as replacements if we need to, for using this product outside. And now Kitty can get up and down with ease rather than trying to jump 8 ft!

So much fun for my kitten!
It wasn't hard to put together and it looks great!

Strong with modifications.
These steps come with no support on the outside. From numerous reviews, I already knew that they were going to flex a lot and possibly split so I bought little pieces of angle steel to each step. It still wasn’t enough. They flexed like crazy, and a couple of them were already sagging. I knew that if I tied everything together on the outside, it would spread the load across all of them and make it much stronger. I used a length of wood , cut the ends on angles and screwed it into each step end. They don’t budge at all anymore. Probably get pulled out of the wall before it fails.

My elderly cat can climb now!
I have a small dog with a voracious appetite so she will eat my finicky-eating cat's food if I leave my cat food within my dog's reach. But my 14 yr old cat with spinal arthritis was having progressively more difficulty jumping up onto her feeding counter. So i attached this to the cabinet door beneath the counter and now she easily climbs onto her feeding counter. It was easy to attach. Some customers' reviews said that it is not durable but they must have heavy cats. My cat is only 7 lbs so this ladder is plenty strong for her. However, if you have a bigger/heavier cat, you can easily attach an "L" bracket underneath for extra support.

Not as sturdy as expected....
Although the product was easy to put together, once we mounted the steps on our wall using the hardware included, we could tell it was not very sturdy. Our cat used the steps once and they literally fell off the wall, screws and molly's still attached! We now have to use longer screws to attach the steps and larger molly's and longer screws to attach it to the wall at our own cost - definitely not going to purchase this again.

Good with minor adjustments
The screws they give you to attach to the wall are far too short, it would never support the weight of my cats (even the skinny one if he jumped on it). Especially since the screw holes are less than a stud length apart. To resolve I attached the stairs to a 2×4 and screwed that into the wall studs with long screws. My cats do use the stairs and I like how they look

Can’t stand up.
While the initially look nice and are quick to put together, they bend and flex when my cats try to climb them. I have already sunk extra screws into the steps, but I will need to find an alternative method to support them before they snap off.

Use longer screws
Simple and easy to assemble *however, if you have anything bigger than a parakeet you’ll need to use #6x2 course drywall screws with some wood glue on the steps or your cat is going to eat s*** climbing them… trust me. Use bigger wall mount screws too
