It fits nicely in my hand so it doubles as a hand warmer in cold conditions. It's about the same size as most cans of soups and stews. Plus you can flip the lid and make a nice little coffee warmer. It's also great for dip and salsa outside. It has a nice heavy lid.

Love this Lil cast iron mini casserole and works great in toaster oven.

If this was pre-seasoned it was not done well. I washed it in cold soapy water before using and rust spots appeared immediately. (I wash all my well-seasoned cast iron in soapy water, which is not enough to remove the seasoning, but prevents flavoring my meal with whatever I cooked last time). Not a big deal, I just seasoned it again with EVOO and baked it on the grill while it preheated for my dinner.The finish is a bit rough; I wiped the oil on with a paper towel which left little paper shreds all over the pot and lid.The lid's handle is also cast iron, with a steel screw to hold it on.I used it to roast some cauliflower on my grill while the chicken cooked, first over direct heat for 10 minutes to get the pot hot, then over indirect heat, for a total of 30 minutes. The cauliflower was evenly cooked and nicely browned where it contacted the pot.

Great for soup or just cooking an egg or two. Indestructible cast iron and nice rustic look. Bought 4 for our cabin. Highly recommend.

Most small cast iron pots are too small or at a quart in size. These are perfect size to roast garlic, sides, or glazes. We use these on the grill. They will need washing and then seasoning in your favorite fashion.

Very disappointed in the quality of workmanship. Right out of the package I noticed there was a hole in the side of the pot. Couldn't use it at all. Looked as if a bubble formed during molding then burst causing a hole. Therefore pot would only be good to fill with liquid half way. I had to return and get another. I did like the cast iron feel and weight, so I'm trying a second time.

This is the most adorable little cast iron pan. And it's perfect if you're cooking for one. I've used it for breakfast bakes, a single serving casserole and single serving cobblers. I'm trying to lose weight and be healthier and this little pan is a big help. If I cook a big regular pan of food...I tend to eat more. I used it in the oven and it works great on a grill also.
