Best in class IoT product
I have used Wipro and Helea LED bulbs. Apart from those I have also seen a few other brands in action. However, nothing beats Philips in terms of actually calling this a "smart" product. For starters, this operates like a normal bulb, by default. There's no WiFi pairing or anything until you turn it off-on three times. It turns on as a normal bulb and with every subsequent off-on immediately, changes between warm and cool. This is already a plus point over other brands that have default mode as WiFi pairing and keep blinking until you set ut up. Of course, you'd say there's no issue after you have set it up right? That's where you are wrong and where my second point comes in. You see almost all other bulbs that I have used, you have to keep the light switch on. You can turn off the bulb via IoT, but in order for it to turn on, WiFi must be connected, therefore power must be on. If someone switches it off (like when you are leaving the room you switch everything off), it loses the WiFi connection. These other bulbs lose their settings and forget everything after a few hours. If you switch it on after even a couple of hours, they start blinking and won't stop blinking until you set them up again. Frankly speaking I was feeling more dumb than "smart" with those products around. This Philips bulb does not forget the settings. I have tested for 8+ hours with switch off, and almost within a minute of turning it on again, the bulb is WiFi connected and can be turned on via the app. It also remembers the last power state, so it will not turn on automatically after switching it on from the wall. I usually keep the switches on, but now even if someone switches them off accidentally, it's not a pain in the butt anymore. I also would like to point out how well the Wiz system integrates with evrrything else. You can setup IFTTT applets and use them to control the bulbs. I have a Samsung phone so I use smart things, and have a widget on my homescreen with 6 different scenes. I just tap on the button and it turns on or changes both the lights in my room within 2 seconds. I can control both the color temperature and brightness with those applets, it's a lifesaver to just dim the lights immediately when you wanna watch a movie while working, and vice-versa. Setup is a bit tricky if you have 5GHz WiFi, and don't have separate SSID for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I faced this exact issue with setting up another 9W Philips Wiz bulb a while ago for someone else, and I forgot all about it and faced the same issue this time. The app just refuses to find or connect with the bulb when you are on WiFi 5GHz. I had to setup after connecting my phone to bulb WiFi AP, then use mobile data on my phone to load the app (which requires internet btw) and only setup 1 bulb at a time. Then I tried disabling 5GHz on my router temporarily, and now was able to setup both devices in the normal way. Afterwards, I enabled 5GHz and did not notice any issues with normal operations of the bulb. It seems like disabling 5GHz is the only way to easily setup the bulbs. Of course all this does not apply if you have separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs (which you shouldn't anyway). Overall I think the device is worth extra few bucks over some cheaper other models. Brightness is decent and one 20W unit is almost equal to a full 4 feet tubelight. I can also vouch for Philips warranty replacement process which I had taken earlier on a different bulb. All I had to do was send a photo of the bulb along with the invoice to their support email, and they asked me for my shipping address and sent a new one.

Good product
There are no issues in using it, also has ample light, but at first there were some connectivity issues with app and wifi, also it doesnt have rgb light, only cool and warm, and intensity can be adjusted.

Philips is always great..
This bulb is really fantastic. Initially it took me some time to connect through app, but it was some mistake from my side (it is connected while pulsing which I did not care). Once connected it gives fantastic colours. Works very smoothly. Philips quality is always best. Colours are reasonably accurate in actual wrt as shown in app. Those who say its not 16 million colours shld understand there are few basic colours in nature, others are different shades of basic colours. We can get many colours by moving circle slightly in custom colour option. Also there is option to remember last colour in app, by selecting that it will maintain same colour even after switching off / power failure and re switch on. Brightness is good for cool white or warm white and lower for colours which is normal with any colour led, for colours brightness is always less than cw,ww. CW & WW brightness of this bulb is same as other non colour good leds. Overall a good led bulb, worth more than its price.

Disappointed with Philips' smart lights system at this price!
Before writing this, let me clarify that I understand OTTs and smart devices very well, and I use many of them including smart connected appliances including voice hubs, and have been using smart lights for more than 2–3 years on an everyday basis. 1) The software experience is clunky, unnecessarily complicated. 2) Most of the times, simple voice command like "Alexa, turn on the bedroom light" does not work in mornings, if we used dimmed light (their TV mode, or night mode via their Wiz app) at night while watching TV. Every time, we have to use a command like "Set the bedroom light to white" to turn on the light. 3) Turning on the light with physical switch does not work many a time using their WizClick feature, which basically sets two light modes when the switch is pressed once or twice. It doesn't work. So I use the "last mode used" setting which works at times. 4) The light can be only be dimmed up to 10% (WHY?), you can only make it dimmer if you use their app to use specific pre-set mode like TV-mode or Night mode, that means you can't achieve similar dimmer brightness level using voice operated like Amazon Echo, Google Nest or even Android apps like Google Home and Alexa App. So inconvenient every single night to use their app instead of just using voice command to set the light to 1% like my Syska lights. 5) With so much inconvenience, and sub-standard app, why should we such a high price? Because there are no options in this segment, 20W B-22 Smart lights, as per my research at the time of buying this device in Jan 2024. 6) Wiz account can only be created with Google/Facebook IDs and connected to those accounts. So, if you want to have the same app installed in secondary mobiles, roommates', spouse's or parent’s app, instead of simple password sharing, everyone has to create a Wiz account and then those need to connected. Such complex procedures for people with basic tech understanding! If you will be the sole user forever, this point should not bother you. 7) Light brightness is fine, but with so much inconvenience, I wish I had another brand to consider in this segment, but no luck! I hope this review was comprehensive. I wish I could get a refund and had another option in the market.
