Great piece of kit this...
used this to repair some damage to my wooden floorboards. If it is your first time trying, I would suggest watching a few videos online first to familiarise yourself with the use of this product. It was my first time using it, but after watching some tutorials online & testing out on some wood I had in the shed, the final work came out perfect. You can't even notice where I carried out the repairs.

Works great if you know what you are doing
First off, the results, as pictured, look really good for polished stone tile.I should note that I've been a professional traditional media artist for 20+ years, so working with stone patching color mixing and faux texturing wasn't too hard.If you read the a accompaying instructions you should be good. With that said, some notes; the black is super black, dilute it with water and use sparingly!! As well as most other colors. If you are a novice you should study basic color mixing first, particularly RGB method. The kit comes with many common stone colors if you dont feel like mixing the basics BUT if you want an exact match you will be doing a lot of trial an error and you will have to use the included red, green, and blues. The patching base compound in the tube is kinda minimal, only enough for about a square inch.As the instructions say, patch dark, then let dry, then texture with a lighter mix using a frialed cotton swab. You will need more cotton swabs than the kit has!!The compound looks lighter when wet but dries darker!! Do go light on the first passThe final lacquer coat leaves much to be desired. It comes with no polishing tools and if you have a perfectly flat stone floor tile to patch them you need to sand it afterwards.Overall it's a good kit but I think it needs more patching compound.

Work great, but
This works great, but just a heads up, the color is extremely different between the paint and the lacquered end result. Spent a lot of time trying to match the floor color and it was always off. Luckily it erases very easily with water.Once you lacquer with the included transparent solution, it will set it and you cannot wash it away and the color transforms somehow and it look just like the floor. Pretty frustrated that it did not mention this anywhere on the packaging.

Does what is says
I bought this for furniture repair and it does what is says; I would buy it again. If you're thinking of buying it, here are some things to consider:It's easy to use, not messy and cleans up easily. You can make pretty much any colour you want, but you have to learn how to do it by trial and error - the colours on the mixing chart provided often bear little relation to what you actually end up with. The putty remains flexible and fairly soft when set. This has advantages but I don't think it would hold up well in a place that gets a lot of wear. It also shrinks a bit as it dries and deep holes need to be topped up.One minor gripe is that whilst the mixing spatula is hard wearing plastic, the mixing board with its calibration lines is only cardboard, and the lines disappear after a few cleans. I suspect that the board itself isn't going to last long, but provided you've remembered the length of a standard squirt of putty from the tube you can mix it on any inert surface.
