Nails are like butter
I don't write reviews often (almost never), but I had to for this. I have used taps for years, almost exclusively metal taps, which started when I was in the military. However, I wanted to tone it down a bit because you can hear metal taps. Unfortunately, the nails sent with these taps were like spaghetti - impossible to nail straight without bending and even if you got them flush they were bent inside the heel - see pictures. It's a shame because these appeared that they would do the job, but not even close.

Be aware this product does not work and garbage. Don't be fooled with the price!
Normally, I don't leave feedback but this time I want people know that it is not that you get what you pay for but the sellers who sell garbage to American people must be stopped. Amazon obviously does not care as long as they are making them money. This product is cheap made and does not work. I tried it on two different sets of shoes and came out after 10 minutes of walking (garbage).

You do get your money’s worth
I read the comments and I wouldn’t buy this product if I hadn’t already purchased it. I am purchasing a second set because I had move to another town and the product was lost or misplaced. I don’t feel like going thru the boxes looking for them. I read a lot of complaints. The bottom line is they don’t come off in ten minutes if you use the nails provided. The nails are made for shoes so it isn’t as strong as the nails they build houses with. Tap gently and they will pierce the material, then when it is halfway through you can use maximum force. Make sure you hammer them all the way through or they will stick out and could damage your floors or worse your friends floor. You may need to use a regular nail against a piece of wood to make a starter hole. I hadn’t done this but it seems that it would work.

Take your time
If you take the time to hammer the nails into the taps first so they’re sticking through a little (do it on a piece of wood) by holding the tiny mail with a pair of small pliers, then hammer into the sole of the shoe, these are not bad to work with. Considering my shoe repair charges between $5-$10 for one pair of shoes, these were a steal.

Good heel taps...
Although the heel taps themselves are decent, and deal with various size requirements, I would also voice concerns about the quality of the nails that come with the product. With some care and patience you can use the nails to secure the taps, they are not the best nails/tacks I've used for similar projects.
