I love this idea. I wish they had come up with it sooner! As of now these seem to work just as well as my D-Fi Transceivers. As others have said, it does have a light that blinks, that could be distracting, especially inside a glow totem.

Wish more Chauvet lights had the ability to use these. They take experimenting with, but when you get it, they work wonderfully, and without having to have any power for a receiver.

These do work and they do have decent range. My main gripe is that they blink red when they are active, not exactly inconspicuous. Fairly blatant design flaw assuming that most customers are using these in the dark.

I am disappointed in these. When running shows with high-speed FX and quick changes, the lights that are receiving their DMX signals through the D-Fi USB units show a small but consistent lag. It seems that these units do not transmit the DMX frames at the full-rate they are receiving making transitions a little choppy and super fast transitions sometimes not look right at all. I bought these to use as a convenience and they might work for that, but I am disappointed that the lag and frame-rate is so noticeable.
