This is a cute necklace, it a sterling silver finish for allergy-free wear and a nice shine. I don't know if this is solid sterling silver or if it is plated, I couldn't figure it out from the product description. They are nice and shiny. The back is hollow, the moon and star have a slight floating effect because of the back design. While I would prefer a solid back, it's not too noticable unless it flips over. The star is not affixed to the moon, the necklace chain connects both pieces. This has a typical lobster claw clasp and a chain extender. It came in a nice hinged gift box and included a microfiber cleaning cloth.*I received this product free or at a large discount for honest, unbiased review purposes. really cute necklace! i love that it doesnt turn my skin green because its not a cheap fake costume jewelry peice. the size of the charm is perfect and the box it comes with is perfect it comes with a jewelry cleaning cloth too!

I received a sample of this Pendant & Chain in exchange for an honest review. One of its nicest features is that it is made from 'solid' sterling siver ... and NOT silver plating. I was surprised when I held it in my hand after delivery of its 'weight' ... would guess there is somewhere betwee an ounce and half-ounce in weight. With silver pushing $20 and ounce, this is not only a nice gift (or present for yourself !!!) that will only grow in value.
