Jamieson PRENATAL Complete Multivitamin with DHA Supplement 60 Softgels

This is a great brand. The brand my doctor had recommended wasn't agreeing I got constipated really bad but when I switched to this brand my problem was over. It didn't make nauseous and the tablets are easy to swallow. Now I am breastfeeding I still continue to take them.

I took these all throughout my pregnancy without issue. I ordered a new bottle and something is definitely wrong with them. They smell horrible. They were not like this before. I’m not sure what happened. It’s terrible and I will not be taking them.

These vitamins are very good. However I believe the way they are stored comprises the quality. Upon receiving the bottles - I purchased 2- I opened them and each had a nasty, almost spoiled fish scent. I was going to return them, but because I couldn’t find them anywhere else I decided to speak with my pharmacist about it, to see if it is normal as, previously when purchased directly in the pharmacy I didn’t have this issue. The pharmacist told me it appears 1 or more of the tablets are busted and so it has coated the remaining ones with the oils as such the foul scent. She suggested I store them in a refrigerator which would help to decrease the foul scent. I did as suggested and realize that indeed while the foul scent remained it was more bearable. She also suggested taking them in the middle of eating a meal which would help to rid the taste from my mouth. This also worked. I will be purchasing again because I cannot find them anywhere else. I am however changing the vendor from which I am making the purchase. I am hoping this vendor is more diligent and conscious about the proper storage of vitamins and that I will not have the same issue as with the others. Important points to note consumers - store in refrigerator, it helps to reduce the scent of any busted capsule - take in the middle of a meal, this reduces the after taste and lingering scent.

Becareful! I purchased this product on May 3, 2023, and the pills have expired since April 4, 2023.

The tablets were clumped together. I could not use them.

Gross fish smell!!! I could not take them!

I am accustomed using this product and these 2 bottles I purchased were absolutely gross! The scent was disgusting ! I tried using one when the scent died out and I threw up. I don’t know what you all did different but my bottles ended up being tossed because they starting giving my room a horrid under-scent. You all should refund everyone who purchased this and had this issue !! Really disappointed.

I take one of these daily and as far as I know they’re doing the job for baby & I. HOWEVER, I recommend opening the bottle from a distance to avoid the rotting fish fumes. The fish burps are unavoidable, though.

Rating five stars as a warning. This vitamins are disgusting! I understand DHA is supposed to be fishy tasting and smelling but whoa! The smell and taste alone throws me off, I'm not even pregnant and I almost puked. Fair warning to everyone out there. I'm not sure if I got off tasting batch or what these are disgusting.

Excellent prenatal vitamin that is the most complete. No bad smell and easy to swallow for those who don’t like taking pills. They go down easy since they are smooth on the outside. Chocolate tasting coating. No bad aftertaste or burps. I also like that they include dha so I don’t need to supplement for that separately.

These vitamins smell and taste so bad. I tried to take them but gag every time. Would recommend buying vegan or ones that don’t have such a strong fish scent/taste.

I'm not a doctor so I can't really comment on the effectiveness, but I did my own research and this seemed like a good option. My review is based on my experience of the product. It has a faux vanilla flavour on the outside, which I quite enjoy - HOWEVER, because this product has fish oil you MUST NOT leave it in a warm location as it will melt slightly, releasing some fishy odor and blending it with the vanilla, creating the most gag-inducing reaction. I will keep buying these, but for my first bottle I would open it and enjoy sniffing the lovely vanilla scent, and for my second bottle (which slightly melted) I will be opening and shutting that bottle quickly and taking that pill QUICK and then washing the smell off my hands lol Just a comment, still a great product, just user error or shipping error :)
