This it is bang on the money for what I was looking for. I wanted something to add additional security to my garden gate without going too fort knox. This has been standing up to the awful weather really well so far, and looks really good. It is easy to use, responsive and feel like a quality product. I was quite expensive you you can feel from the weight of it that is is going to be really strong and difficult to get past. Fitting is a bit of a pain and if you are not used to this type of thing, plan it out well before you start, to make sure it works well for you.

The screw broke while I was fitting it. It just snaps clean and the bit of the screw got stuck in the unit. I have tried everything to unscrew it, even used extractor bits but no luck. Now I have holes in my backdoor gate and no locking mechanism. I will not buy this again and I will not recommend it.Also, the 4 digit lock that you set on it, you can use it in any combination to open the lock as long as you press that 4 digits that you set.it doesn’t matter what the order. I would prefer it if you can only open the lock with the number sequence that you set.

Perfect for what I required,easy to follow instructions

I bought two. They don't perform well on garden gates. With one I have to hold the gate at the top to bring it into position to unlock. The other doesn't unlock at all from the outside.

Well made and sturdy. Would deter all but the most determined intruders. It is made to tight specifications - perhaps, too tight because if the gate warps in wet weather some force is needed to engage and disengage the lock in the hasp. It does not lock itself automatically. Not a great problem because it means that you cannot lock yourself out you have to slide the boat by turning the knob. Simple beyond the memory span of some teenagers.

This item was not cheap. I found an experienced DIY person on Checkatrade to come and install it. The install went well, but the product has never performed properly. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought with the hot weather perhaps the wooden garden gate had expanded a bit and made the lock harder to slide across? It is still the same now in the winter. It is very difficult to operate when you slide it across, so from the other side (the button lock side) it is almost impossible to open. I am now left with a lock I cannot use as it's too unreliable to risk being locked out. The returns window was only 1 month and there seems no way to contact anyone - very unacceptable for an item of this price.

Installed product onto door. Followed instructions and installation but realised that the mechanism was so sloppy that the latch would move to open even without the code being entered. I did receive a refund and I have bought the same looking but genuine product from hardware store for extra £5 but works perfectly. I would avoid this make.

This is such a poor quality mechanism. Once installed the front passcode doesn’t fully catch the latch and open the lock but it will from the back. That’s fine if your locked in the room you can get out, but once your locked out you won’t get back in, waste of money and you’ll have to break a door if you get locked out. Do not waste your money
