Thrilled to have so many utility knives in so many places in my home--in the garage, in my office, on the kitchen table for coupon clipping, in the kitchen for opening packages, and adding one to the bathroom to open those toilet drop in packages, hair color boxes, etc. The blades lock in place; when dull, just break off a piece. Very sharp.Use caution if giving one to a child.

I hesitated to buy these knives, because you usually get only what you pay for. I've ordered utility knives before, and they have fallen apart after a few uses. The end comes off, and the blade falls out. Not with these knives! They are made well, the end stays attached, they are easy to extend and retract, and they are really sharp. They came packaged in individual wrappers.

Terrific Value---Blades are very effective for opening and cutting boxes. Easy to operate. Only critique is that the blade will slide a bit if you don't keep your finger on the tab on the handle. Cannot beat the cost!!!

If you are looking for a hard flimsy plastic cutter, this is the one.

Made cheap, blade is loose inside plastic and they break almost instantly. Worst knife ever bought!
