Ever see that transmission temp top 200?
Install this and those days are gone. I installed before last trip to mountains pulling a trailer. In the past I would see temps of 220-230 degrees on the transmission. Highest I ever saw this past trip in miserable outside heat was 194 degrees. Longest transmission life comes with keep it just above 160. Without a load or super steep hills I routinely run about 162 degrees with this on a 2007 Suburban with 4x4 and 5.3L engine. Do it, it will save you money on powertrain repairs...

Decent cooler
The media could not be loaded. Used with a 4L80 with a 3200 converter.Good cooler for the money, the mounting hardware is okay if you get creative. I’d recommend different hose clamps as these strip pretty easy even if you don’t get it as tight as you think it should be. Overall I’m happy with it. Keeps temps to 130-140 in standstill traffic when it’s 90 out even while being routed through the radiator cooler. Would recommend to anybody that doesn’t want to spend the extra money for a real tru cool, this one works fine.

Good cooler, but ....
After installing this Tru-cool knock off it is performing well and has dropped my 6L80 transmission temp an average if 30 to 40 degrees. While pulling a 7000lb boat with outside air temp around 90 the temp never got above 160. HOWEVER I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT use the cheap non rated hose included. After two weeks it randomly ruptured and left me stranded after I discovered the leak. It dumped about a gallon of fluid on the road before I noticed the transmission slipping. Luckily I was able to immediately pull off the road and shut down. I had to get a tow home. Get a $10 section of J2076 oil rated hose from your local parts place. I should have known better so you've been warned!!

You get what you pay for
Just installed 10/27 no leaks so far but the fins are extremely fragile several bent with the water hose pressureUpdate as of Feb 8th the oil cooler failed on me . The sides started leaking a large amount of oil between the fins . This wasn't dropped but it looks like it caved in in the center somehow .when it worked it worked great but not at the expense of almost losing a transmission and replacing the trans fluid

So far so good
I replaced my factory cooler with this for a upgrade as the transmission is just rebuilt.

Cools well
I put a diverter on the supply line and can use either the rad or the cooler. I installed a temp gauge and can see the rad reaches 190°F- 220°F but switch to the cooler and it doesn't budge off of 100°F

Suprised this thing has held together
Got this thing as a temporary replacement until i got the new TRU COOL MAX 40,000 GVW Transmission oil cooler low pressure drop & turns out to be same exact unit only half the price. This thing works keeps trans oil at 130° & before it was at 190°/200°. You do the math glad I got this

Shirt hose, sensitive thin mesh.
Looking good, have the fittings and other hardware. The hose is very short, absolutely not 55.2 inch, significantly shorter.
