This actually works!
I had the unfortunate experience of something dying in my wall and this saved the day and my sanity! We had raccoons in the attic and our pest control people said it was some kind of critter that likely got stuck when exits were sealed and sadly, the animal died in the wall. The stench was unbearable, and I thought I would have to tear out the wall! This was a much easier, and less expensive, solution and saved us from a stench that would make your eyes water. The product is very concentrated so you won't need a lot, and please know that it's a 1 fluid ounce amount. You soak a few cotton balls to place around the stinky area and within a few days, the odor is gone. Pest control said decomposition would take a few weeks to a few months, depending on what died, so it takes time, but this will definitely eliminate the odor and make the process bearable. We put the product out and within a day the odor had dissipated, and then we just had to wait until nature took its course.

Didn't work at all for me.
I purchased this with a two day delivery which took over a week to arrive even after chatting with Amazon who told me they would do an expedited delivery for Friday and it still didn't arrive till Saturday afternoon. Something died in my car (we think it was a frog) - can't still can't find it but this did NOTHING to help alleviate the SMELL OF DEATH. I wouldn't recommend, nor would I buy this again.

THis did help a lot
When a rodent died in my wall, it gave off the most awful smell. I tried this Rat Sorb, by putting it on cotton balls by the wall in my pantry, and it really did help to mask the odor a lot. Didn't totally get rid of it, but made it so I could go in there and work. It was so much better than before I used it.

Ratsorb Odor Eliminator
I kept seeing ads for this products and wondered if it truly worked. We had a rat die in our hearing system and could not locate the carcass. It left our tiny little house smelling like death, so I ordered Ratsorb in desperation. When it arrived, I quickly opened it d started placing soaked cotton balls around the house. Within an hour, the smell was under control, however, a dead rat in an unknown location is going to take time to decompose and the strong smell remains for a very long time. I found that after a few day, the efficacy of Ratsorb fades and the product must be reapplied. IN the long term, I did not find this product as helpful as the claims. The small size bottle isn’t sufficient to deal with the long term effects of a dead rodent stuck in an unknown location, nor is it cost effective. I would not buy this product again, but then again, I would hope that this problems doesn’t repeat itself.

I was Skeptical, But it really WORKS!!
I am so thankful to Jehovah for this product, I live in Florida and as soon as we got a cold front, we started hearing creepy crawlers in the attic! So they left me no choice but to get my ERATICATION BAITS out. and within days there were exterminated, however. problem is they don't always make it out to die, so we got the worst rotten stinge coming from one of the rooms closet, for days I was masking it by burning essence and candles, but it couldn't keep up, so I googled and found this , and after reading alot of the reviews I figured its worth a shot! And I am very glad I did! The smell of this product is like lemongrass and its heavenly compared to the smell of a dead rat!!! I soaked a few cotton balls and put them up in the closet where it stunk the most, and within the first few hours I was smelling more the lemongrass scent, but still some dead rat smell as well, the next day the smell of dead rat had diminished greatly, but I gotta say that it wasn't until like the 3rd day that I was like WOW! this stuff really WORKS!! because I went sniffing around and I didn't smell the rotten smell anymore! Now its been about 5 days and still NO ROTTEN SMELL! Very Thankful that I came across this product..... Thank You Jehovah!

Confused by all the 5 star reviews. Not a magic cure at all.
Well I bought this product based on all the 5 star reviews ( which I really should stop doing on Amazon ). In all honesty this is not some silver bullet cure all. I used this whole tiny/expensive bottle in one shot and all it did was add another layer of smell to the death soup emanating from an exterior wall. What really did help was opening a window, placing a fan in it blowing to the outside then opening a second window across the room for cross ventilation. The rest is just a waiting game for mother nature to do her thing.

It Works!
We bought Rat Sorb and being a little skeptical we were not expecting much but more with the thoughts of why not give it try, nothing to lose. Don’t know how, but this product definitely worked for us. Something died in our attic in a space we couldn’t get to. The “death smell” seemed to drift through the air vent into our master bathroom and was getting stronger each day. At first we thought we would have to crawl as far as we could into the attic and then throw rat absorb cotton “bombs” as far as we could into the space. This would have been a big effort, so instead we tried plan B which was to put soaked cotton balls just inside the bathroom vents. With this method we didn’t have to remove or unscrew anything, we pushed the soaked cotton balls just inside the vent fins. We figured that when they dried out they will just drop out and if not they'll be easy to remove. I know everyone’s situation is different and what or how big the thing that died in our attic is unknown but within one day the smell was noticeably reduced and day two it was gone. So If you’re contemplating trying this product you should. At worst you’ll be out a few dollars at best you’ll be foul smell free. My only regret was that I didn’t try it sooner putting up with the smell longer than necessary.
