The best value in fishing kayaks ever!
Without a doubt, the best value in fishing kayaks available anywhere! This kayak is amazing! Rock solid stability, perfect high seat that feels like you are fishing while sitting in a lazy boy, it's that comfy. Tracking is awesome and this thing stays where you put it even in a light wind. I find myself not even needing an anchor most of the time because it is very easy to position and anticipate any drift. Easy to stand up and feels stable under you while standing. Because of the high seat though I really don't feel the need to stand much unless site fishing. It paddles like you would expect a wide fishing kayak to perform, it isn't a speed demon but it will get you anywhere you want to go without too much effort. I would put this up against any other fishing kayak on the market regardless of price. The best thing I like about it is the comfort level while on the water. I can pack a lunch and spend hours and hours out on the water and never even think about going in to stretch my legs or work out a cramp like my last kayak would cause. Perception is going to own the market if they keep putting out products like this! Shipping through Amazon was a breeze, was able to track it's progress and delivery was right on schedule.

The "Outlaw" everyone needs in their life.
Love this kayak. Bottom line. It is stable enough for me to stand going through class I/II rapids. The seat is comfortable to sit in, plenty of room to move around. It isn't the most maneuverable kayak, but it's not so bad that you pay any attention to it. It's a tank, but it paddles relatively well. You can add a trolling motor fairly easily to the back of this kayak, which I may do in the future. I have already installed some interior lights and cut out my hatches (see pictures). Lots of storage room and ways to fully customize this kayak.

Good Budget Kayak but very slow...
This kayak is great for a budget kayak. It does what the intention is and that is to be stable, inexpensive and fish-able.However the cons for me started when I was on a river that wasn't moving too quickly but has a current. I could get it going once I started paddle a bit but to make a minor adjustment you have to paddle a decent amount and you aren't really able to keep yourself facing one way too easily because it is so wide and the current and small wind take you like a sail quickly.Initially my wife and I went out and I knew she would be faster than me but even if I tried hard to keep up and paddle hard, she would blow by me in a normal rec kayak without even trying and she's not someone who paddles quickly at all.Overall I decided to return this and get an in between kayak in my opinion so I could kayak for fun with my wife and also enjoy fishing. I went with the Tarpon 120. It doesn't offer as many fishing add-ons for it but I have my own custom items I applied to it and I love how quick it is in the river for fishing and how I can keep up with my wife without trying anymore.I do think this is a solid option for those looking on a budget but be aware, you sit very high (which is great for spotting fish) and the kayak is very wide and much harder to keep control of. If you plan to add a trolling motor, none of this matters but just giving my honest opinion. I wanted to love it and we tried it a bunch but I just couldn't keep it knowing I wouldn't be able to enjoy it on a normal trip kayaking with my wife.If you're on the fence about it, go somewhere that you can try it out before purchasing would be my best advice. If you're thinking it might be too much to maneuver around or 'I'm sure it's fine, I'm fishing not looking to win a race', I can assure you that is what I thought right away but after a few hours I knew that I should look for something that cuts the water a little better or if I'm going to get a wide kayak, look for something that has an optional pedal drive.

Inspect closely when received!!!!!!
BEWARE! Arrived with significant damage!!!! Delivery man was in a hurry and the kayak took a month to ship so I was willing to accept minor dings that didn't affect performance when he stated up front that he was in a hurry to get back on the road. The delivery man refused to wait while I inspected the item after lengthy unwrapping from heavy duty shipping materials. Horrible tape was used to keep the plastic adhered directly to the bow and stern of the kayak. It would not come off after scrubbing with soap and warm water. It remains on there after 2+ weeks and 20 uses. Completely unnecessary carelessness from whoever prepares this item for shipping. The seat had a massive tear above the seam down the left side. There were abrasions and damage to the rear and right side floor board. I emailed Perception 3 times with photos and received no response! Very aggravating but gave them leeway because of the pandemic circumstances. The kayak itself is amazing. It tracks very well, steers well for a square back and moves quickly enough without significant wind or currents. I am 6', 210 lbs. and take standard fishing gear out with me. The boat takes on zero water and scupper plugs are not necessary even it windy conditions. I've taken it out about 20 times on a very large lake since receiving and it is great for the price when compared to high end fishing kayaks designed with standing deck size for casting. Perception makes you pay separately for each saddlebag, rear seat cooler, kayak splash crate and screw in mounting knobs (3 total) that are poorly reviewed as they tend to come unscrewed when on the water in motion. I only got the saddlebags and they are useful for tackle storage and tying off pliers and filet knife.I am extremely disappointed in customer service and the damage from shipping transit. When you pay hundreds of dollars for a brand new kayak, you expect a certain level of quality.

Looks great but two minor damage on the kayak when I recieved it.
1st - the skid plate was broken on the back section. 2nd - tear/rip on the padded foot area. looks like it was damaged during shipping. Minor damage but would still like to get both area fixed vice just supergluing the two areas.

She's heavy, don't expect to paddle fast.
Best kayak for the money ever! if you make a little modification to the back end you can mount a 55 lb thrust trolling motor and cheat the whole day!
