Secret Weapon by Bradley Wright
A good, all purpose secret spy story. Lots of fighting and killing. Alexander King is a weapon the good guys at the CIA are glad they have available. He uses his semi-anonymous secret agent man persona to overthrow terrorists and nsasty, bad agents he dispatches thoroughly and quickly.

Secrets discovered. The good guys won!
I placed 4 stars on this book because there were too many characters to keep track of. Started slowly, gained momentum and then captured that certain "can't put it down" read. X marks the spot with me. Has the potential to be a great series.

Action filled scenes
Well described fight scenes easy to follow plot lines make this a good rather 'cozy' spy novel. Unfortunately potentially interesting characters left early in the story but king and Sam are strong enough to carry the book. I'll follow the series for a while and see where it goes.

Hooked!
Characters were believable. It's a turbulent and risky world we live in with unseen evil at play just across the room, around the corner and in many counties....true today! We need more Ghost Warriors!!..vast paced global events and players.

Loved this novel. Fast paced and exciting
Let me say I loved Vince Flynn and have not enjoyed any book as much as I did The Secret Weapon 3 since he passed. This book was the first of Bradley Wright's I be read but will not be the last

…action thriller with lots if twists and turns.
Book Review - “The Secret Weapon” by author Bradley Wright was my first read by this author and I am now hooked. Wright’s youthful way of writing and character development goes hand in hand with this story. A good story is nothing if not told in the manner in which it is written. This is a good story. The Alexander King main character is somewhat of a a calm bad ass. He reminds me a lot of Ben Coe’s protagonist Dewey Andreas. ‘X’ is an off-the-books black ops operative who is "dead" to the world. He runs into a conspiracy of worldwide proportions, fighting terrorists and other unknown enemies and eventually saves the world. Action-packed espionage with plenty of twists and turns and wonderful storytelling! Interesting plot and over the top, intriguing characters - smart, good looking, and wealthy. A five book thriller series I will be watching closely. The Secret Weapon is Book 1 in the series.

Not Bad, Not Perfect, More Good Than Not
The plot is fine, characterisation is reasonable and it's quite a captivating read. My only negative report is that it is so very formulaic. I know all novels of this genre and calibre are formulaic but this one actually ticks every plot device box, every secret agent meme is included and there's more than one femme fatale. The girls are gorgeous and the guys are hunks.I am sure I'm being harsh for no reason, I just felt it not quite hot the spot. Maybe I should explain with this: I was born in England, I like Irish whisky, Scotch whisky, French cognac and London gin; I also like Kentucky bourbon and Mexican tequila. I do not need to sneer at all of those not gin, not English, I can enjoy all equally. Certain American characters only love the spirit of their origin, as in this book. I served in the infantry, my favourite drink is wine not beer but I can still shoot straight though I'm not macho.I will try a few more in the series, perhaps they'll ride above average.

All action
Another great story in the King series, with constant action and twists and turns. With King officially dead for the sake of his family, he is able to work in the shadows with minimum contacts and people who know the truth about him, but of course with less access to support apart from Sam and Dbie. Looking forward to the next instalment in Alaska.

Not for me.
Sorry, but I found this book really hard to get into. I missed out a lot of the middle as it just wasn’t interesting, so I jumped to the end.

Good plot, bad narration
First off, it's not a book 1 of the series but the continuation of Xander King series. There are over half a dozen characters who seem to be carried forward from previous series who'll only confuse the readers who haven't read the previous series. Secondly, though the author managed to keep the story edge of seat all the time, the narration is very confusing. Everyone's double crossing everyone else and the reason not very clear. I read it only because the story looks interesting. The next book seem interesting too but I'm not sure if I can give this author a second chance soon.

Covert Action
A car bomb and a shootout in London's Underground kickstart this terror tale. Deceased CIA spy X and former British spy, Sam, work together to find a terrorist nest and destroy it. But will they be in time to stop the next wave of attacks on America? Most of the story takes place in and around Athens, where X must finish off the remnants of the Maragos family before moving on to the terrorist organization's leadership structure. A lot of betrayal and weasels in this one. The big problem of any spy is, who can you trust?
