Good quality, Zipper is flawless
I love this product! My only gripe is there is no way to really keep my comforter from shifting around inside. Very good quality.

Works for me!
My allergist recommended dust mite covers for our duvet, pillows & mattress as a first step in reducing my allergy symptoms. I was looking for a light weight, non-crinkly fabric & an easy to use duvet cover. Other reviewers mentioned that this product had these attributes, & I am happy to agree. Another nice feature is that each inside corner has ties for securing your comforter or blanket to keep it from shifting inside the cover. The fabric is a nice crisp white & is nice enough to use without a duvet cover if you like a plain white bed. It is also very wrinkle resistant & has a nearly full-length zipper which is very helpful. I also purchased the pillow covers, which I have reviewed separately, from the same manufacturer. I am very pleased with both & feel they were a worthwhile investment to minimize my allergy symptoms.

Decent Quality for the Price
I bought this to cover a down comforter before putting the duvet cover on. It helps keep my allergies at bay and prevents the feathers from coming through. The cover has a nice feel to it (not plastic feeling at all) and a good weight. Quite a few loose threads from sewing but no big deal since those will be covered up. Overall I’m satisfied with the cover, especially at the current price point.

Excellent!
I purchased two of these pillow covers and the duvet cover which is also made by Allersoft. Both are lovely, excellent quality. I will be purchasing more of these for the rest of the household pillows.Recently, I was reminded of how gross dust mites can bee to the beds and pillows. It's one of those things that people hear over the years and might try to ignore (I have in the past). Something triggered in me this time, though, and I was on a mission to seal all of the items we sleep on. I did not want to get rid of my favorite feather/down pillows but couldn't stand the thought of what is in them after 10 years. I took a chance and washed them in my front loading washing machine on the sanitize cycle, extra hot water, with bleach, 3 times each (my husband was shaking his head a lot through this whole process). I figured if they didn't fall apart, we were good for another ten years! I dried them in the dryer with a few tennis balls. Then, placed them outside on a non-humid, dry, sunny day in the sun for a few hours. I then encased them in two of these covers. And, I will be purchasing an additional duvet cover to go over the top of the other duvet cover. I purchased the Allersoft duvet as a protectant layer/dust mite barrier for the down comforter and then was going to purchase some other duvet topper. But I like the look of the white duvet so much (and it is really great quality), I thought I will keep all the bed linens white. When I started looking for just a plain white duvet cover to go over the Allersoft layer, they were just as much or more for what I am sure would be a lesser quality (duvet was around $75 for king size).I know it sounds a little excess, but, by covering the allergy layer with another white, Allersoft cover, I can wash that additional layer as much as I want without worrying about degrading the fabric. The care instructions state to only wash twice a year which with those instructions and reviews elsewhere leads me to believe that the tight weave of this fabric, which is what makes it the allergen barrier, could start to loosen up after repeated washings.I am extremely happy these are 100% cotton and made in the USA.

Smell, Feel is not like cotton.
Hey, about 4yrs ago I bought a full size cotton duvet directly from National Allergy Supply, and i love it.This twin sized duvet I bought from Amazon arrived in no packaging, just a plastic ziplock bag.I opened the ziplock bag and felt the fabric. It didn't feel like the soft cotton duvet that I had bought before. It felt like plastic. It gave off an acrid smell. In the past, I've bought cotton T-shirts off Ebay and for the past couple years, there is often a strong smell and the fabric feels unnaturally stiffened and then becomes rough after being washed and still smells. They can't be worn without the feeling that the fabric doesn't breathe. One of them fell apart after being washed. I sought the sellers asking what was the problem. Finally one was honest. He stated they store them in plastic bags sometimes for years, that is why the smell. But it seems the plastic is embedded in the fabric.I imagine the most logical conclusion is this cotton duvet I just bought has been sitting for years in some hot warehouse until they have to dig it out of storage to ship it.

Don't buy it for the way it looks or feels.
I bought this duvet far too long after I should have. I have developed allergies over the years. I have noticed that I would wake up with a stuffy nose and lots of congestion for some time now. I suspected that it had to do with my down comforter, but I was too cheap to buy an allergy protective cover because I was not sure if it would solve my problem. This cover has made a huge difference. I am waking up without being congested and I am having far fewer allergy symptoms. It was worth the purchase and of course I wish I bought it sooner.Yes the material may not feel like you expect. It is tightly woven which has also made my comforter warmer since less air is passing through. It might make some noise, but I do not notice, especially after it is broken in a bit. It also might hold some wrinkles, but mine is between my comforter and my decorative duvet. So if those things matter more than breathing better, maybe this is not for you. If your goal is to wake up with clear nostrils then don't keep waiting.
