Product Description Multiple layers of material : Tuffy toys can have up to 4 layers of material depending on the shape size and style of the toy. Our Ultimate series can have up to 2 layers of Luggage grade material. Certain layers of material are coated with a layer of plastic to hold the material fibers together. Finally, we use soft fleece for the outside layer. Seven Rows of Stitching Tuffy toys can have up to 7 rows of stitching. The number of rows of stitching depends on the shape, size and style of the toy. Two directions of cross stitching hold the multiple layers together. Rows of stitching hold webbing around the materials edge and the toys’ parts are sewn together with up to 3 rows of stitching. When possible, a protective webbing is added around the outer edge and sewn up to 3 more times. Protective Webbing For our Ultimate series we add an additional layer of webbing, whenever possible, around the outside edge to cover the seams of the toy. This is sewn multiple times, for added durability. Squeaker Safety Pockets Squeakers are sewn into material pockets inside the toy. This additional layer of safety can give you the time you need to safely remove the toy in the event your dog reaches the core of the toy. Our pet toys are designed to be the "World’s Most Durable Soft Dog Toys" and are "Built to Last" but keep in mind no toy will last forever. This toy is designed as a "play" toy and is not a "bone". The toy should not be ingested. Toys are meant for you and your pet to enjoy together, do not allow your pet to play with this toy unsupervised. As your pet plays with the toy your pet will begin to wear down the different layers of the toy. Remove loose threads to avoid ingestion. If your pet reaches the white stuffed core of the toy discard immediately. Available in green colour. Set Contains: Each order comes with 1 x Tuffy Alien G3, Green Review: 1 pitbull and 1 golden. Both mega chewers/destructors. (Even baseboards and door frames are not safe in this house). This toy wins the longevity in our house by a full month! Our dogs love all the Tuffys we got them so far (pig, bear, frog, shark, rabbit, lobster, banana, flying saucer, elephant, ring, squid, ray, crocodile, turtle), but this one lastest longer than ever. Well worth the money! They still went through it but it took at least twice longer than usual. And they still haven’t got through the tentacles, just the body. Review: Our 2 year olf mastiff/rottweiler played with this for about 2 hours before one of the tentacle seams came apart. We removed the squeaker from that tentacle and the stuffing, and she's still able to play with it safely and loves it. We had mostly decided that she could never have soft toys and would have to be okay with rubber or bones, but this has held up surprisingly well. It's not a toy to just leave with your dog all the time though, if they're a heavy chewer. It will last a good long time if you only bring it out for shorter interactive play sessions and don't just leave your dog to shred it, though it will certainly last far longer than other stuffed toys if you do so. When Captain Kurklops finally takes his last breath, I will be picking up another Tuffy toy for her, though perhaps one with fewer tentacles. Edit: It's been about a year now, and it's still going strong. The one tentacle is still the only physical damage, though the poor guy is pretty dirty and worn these days. I've bought two other Tuffy toys and no one has held up like this one.

We buy these semi-regularly, maybe every few months. We'd buy them more if they cost less, but I suppose for a smaller dog this toy would be pretty much indestructible, so the price is justified. It takes my enormous hound about three minutes to breach the alien's exterior, which is pretty good going as far as he's concerned. Structural integrity isn't really the point of toys when it comes to a 5+ stone dog. How long it lasts before it is literally just a pile of threads is how we measure a good toy. In this, Tuffy's Captain Kurklops excels. It isn't just a chew toy, it's a puzzle. My dog tears open the face or the top of the head and begins to pull the stuffing out in ropes. At some point the large central squeaker will come out with the stuffing and he'll spend ten minutes throwing it around and squeaking it before returning to his task. Once all the stuffing is out, the challenge is to get the squeakers in the tentacles free. This can take anywhere from half an hour to a few days. Once all the squeakers are out he uses it like a security blanket and chews or just holds it. I wish they were a little bit cheaper, but he just loves them so much and literally no other toy lasts as long with him as this one. And it really is a great toy; if your dog is labrador sized or smaller it'll probably last a good long while. If your dog is bigger than that, well... your dog will probably love it too, but be prepared to go through a whole lot of them, like we do.

These Tuffy Toys really are tough! They last through focused chewing of large breed dog. This toy in particular is fun with long thin legs to chew on and a round ball like head. Highly recommend Tuffy dog toys!
