Works Well
I got this to replace an 8 channel Ademco Tx/Rx of the same type. This was a simple install, basically a plug and play with no issues whatsoever. Of course, the channels had to be adjusted, but once that was done, this works like a charm.I have no facts, but this SEEMS to have a bit longer range as I can use my key fob further from the house than I could with the older unit. Again, I did not measure it, it just seems to have greater spread of the signal.

Best receiver for Ademco panels and necessary to use wireless sensors
Unlimited wireless zones and better range than the 6160RF keypad. If you buy a receiver for Vista panels, the ENL and ENM are not worth the purchase as they limit the amount of wireless zones and are about the same price. Not sure why Ademco has the option to purchase the other ones. Anyway, this receiver with a Vista 15/20/21IP and a non-RF 6160 keypad is a pretty solid combo. I say this because you have better wireless range and troubleshooting devices becomes easier. Also, if your keypad is vandalized, your wireless receiver still works due to being a separate device. However, you can use this with a 6160RF if your application requires it or just use a second ENH receiver. This is a good price for this receiver and worth the purchase if you need to add wireless to your Ademco Vista panel.

Super simple upgrade from 5881ENL to 5881ENH
I upgraded from the 5881ENL because I needed a 9th zone for adding another CO detector. I was hoping the upgrade would not require me to re-program my existing 8 wireless zones, and in fact I found that the former programming carried over completely and the only programming needed was to add the new zone.So that means all configuration data for the wireless zones is saved in memory on the Vista-20P and not in the 5881.As a result, the swap out took about 15 minutes.
