Really like the smaller size of this hammer
The smaller size is very handy for jewelry making. The changeable ends are great. So far it has worked good but I only use on smaller gauge wire & metals; I have used up to gauge 16 & has worked good so far

A great tool!
I make jewelry, and use this little hammer all the time. It’s just the right size, yet has a lot of force to work harden my wire and metal. I’m so glad I purchased it!

It's a hammer...
So this is a basic brass mallet. It's job is to whack things without damaging them. However, out of the box, this one won't do it. There was a slightly raised edge on the face and clear machining marks. It also had raised wood and burs from where the handle was attached. So this mallet required dressing before it could be used and more than I would have thought necessary, but these are always adjusted somewhat to taste, so this isn't that big of a deal. Just a disappointment and a reflection of lower qualify manufacture. So 4/5 stars. If the defects above had been addressed and I only had to adjust the amount of beveling on the hammer face to what I like to see, it'd be 5/5.

Just enough weight behind it to tap in roll pins.
Sturdy, cheap, and worked extremely well for intended purpose.

Toothpick for a handle >:(
The head of the hammer is nice and just what I need.... however they sent it with a handle that is a straight shaft .5" by .75" inch peice of flimsy wood. Like a home depot / Lowes special lol. Now I have to carve out my own handle. NOT LIKE THE PICTURE AT ALL! BEWARE!

Better than expected
They are quite small and lightweight, but stronger than I expected. Got a bunch for some 4-7 year olds when we went thunder egg mining in central Oregon. They were wacking on the hardrock for half a day without a single one breaking.Sure, an adult could snap one of these in half, but that's not the purpose.

Only one problem.
The hammer is plated in something that makes it look pretty, but after just a few hours of work, it's chipping away and ruining the nice smooth finish. Still a good value for the money, but it certainly wont last forever.

Would not buy again. Amazon re-wrote the wording of my previous review and made it possitive????
Would not buy again. Round hole in hamer head allows handle to rotate. Useless. -- I posted a review months ago on this and Amazon re-wrote my negative review as a posative review. They changed the words of what I said. Check all of your past product reviews. I suspect this is a systemic problem. It makes me never want to trust Amazon reviews ever again.
