Buffalo Horn Fine Tooth Comb - Anti-Static Hair Comb - Hair Styling Detangling Comb for All Hair Types (Men, Women, Kids)

As you should know, it’s made of natural material, therefore my positive review here doesn’t mean you yourself won’t get a “lemon”.I really like this comb. My hair is medium length, thick and wavy. The plastic comb I’ve been using for years annoyed me enough finally to seek an alternative.I started reading / researching tools for thick hair. Horn came up as a really nice option, and this brand/style seemed as good as any for me to start in my testing of alternative-materials. I was pleasantly surprised at the truth of the “no tangle” (or at least significantly less tangle) experience I had using this horn comb.I did not have the experience/issue with smell of the comb I received, as I’ve read in other reviews. I have also read you should not get it wet, or it might start to smell (or warp / mis-shape). While I don’t take it into the shower, I have tested many times running it through my wet hair and so far have no smell or structural issues.I have dropped my comb on at least five occasions from standing height to hard surface. As my luck would have it (or the cut of horn I received is very solid) not one tine or piece has cracked or broken off.I’m not drawn to the style with a handle, so the shape and size are perfect for my situation. It’s great for travel, and (in my opinion) easier to clean than the plastic one. I won’t be going back to plastic combs!Price-wise, this is the one and only horn comb I have owned. There are more expensive ones; I would be wary of less-expensive. A creature created/grew this, plus manufacturing cost (at least the engineering of the cutting template) and shipping ... seems like a great bargain from my perspective.

These combs, even after careful washing, smell like animal feces. I don't have time to return such a low value item, am placing a 180-hold on any future Amazon purchases instead. Gross!

Comb is fine. Well made. But, as other reviewers have noted, it stinks very bad when wet ;something akin to feces, or really bad stew. I imagine this is something that is unavoidable, perhaps the natural biproduct of horn... Doesnt seem to transfer to your hair though, so thats good.

Small size, easy to handle horn comb. Very sturdy, nice looking comb that seems to glide through the hair. Perfect for short to medium long hair. Fits nicely in the hand.

This is the most sturdiest comb made from horn I has so far. My first one lasted a good while, till a tooth broke out. My second one broke, although it just dropped from a low place to the tile floor. the third one did look more like plastic than like horn and broke a tooth right away. This one fell out of its package for starters, and recently out of my hand in the first week - both times on tile - and is still intact! It has a nice size, the ends of the teeth could be a bit more rounded and feel better on the scalp, but overall a good buy so far - time will tell how long it will last.
