I bought this for a relative that has thinning hair on top of his head. He likes the way it fills in the area so it doesn't shine.Of course nothing looks as good as the real thing, but it helps camouflage it.I haven't tried the brand name products, so I can't compare it.But for the price I would buy it again.It comes with holes in the top like a powder can so you can shake it out.If you shake out too much at a time it will make a darkened place on the scalp, so I recommend sprinkling it lightly.It washes out with shampoo and is easy to use.

Let's face it - When you're losing your hair you'll try anything, and this stuff is anything. I suppose it's better than using a pepper shaker, and the fibers will not make you sneeze, but considering the amount that gets onto your coat or cap or jacket, it's a poor solution. There are a number of better ways of dealing with balding - Propecia seems to be the best.

Great stuff. Can look a little 'blueish' if you use too much but mix it with another color (whatever your natural color is) & it looks great.
