This is my second sidetrack. The first one I bought years ago and it was smaller and the type that you can clip to the back of your laptop. I like this one so much better! It is larger and crystal clear resolution. It is also laser thin so breeze for travel.I have a small 13" laptop for travel ease, and this extra screen (15.8") is a lifesaver for working on the road. Definitely recommend!

This screen is great. It's easy to connet, bright and clear. It's super portable, put it in the sleeve and put it in the bag with the laptop. It's been a lifesaver as I no longer have to drag 1 or 2 large monitors everywhere i go. I highly suggest buying this product.

I got this screen to have an extra display when working off my laptop for you. I had first ordered a different version by the same company. However, I was not a fan of how small the screen was. I defiantly underestimated the scale of a 12-inch screen. So, I went and returned that one and then ordered this one. It was defiantly the better choice. The biggest down fall is the touch screen. Now the touch screen dose work well. It is just that being that it is not a Windows Surface or an Apple Tablet the computer gets confused some time. Those previously mentioned tablets are program to accept things like stylist pens and understand that when your pam in on the screen to ignore it and pay attention to the stylist. Now I do not know if this is an add on or a software update, they can make to the display. Like maybe if there is an option to select to only acknowledge a stylist pen and ignore other commands. However, if you do not plan to use a stylist pen then yes, the touch screen works perfectly.

Great product for conference room meeting when you have to share a screen

My wife and I purchased three SideTrak Solos. We have two MacBook Pros with the M1 chip; both were purchased recently. Additionally, we have a MacBook Pro built-in (2016). The SideTrak does not work with the new MacBook. However, it does work with the older model.Further information on customer service if you’re interested> Customer service does not return calls; we made calls to verify compatibility before purchasing the monitors. No calls were returned.> We did receive an email response from SideTrak that the monitors were compatible, prompting us to place the order.> After receiving the monitor, the initial query to SideTrak: The responder identified the problem as a USB-C port that was not updated. They were unaware this was a new MacBook. In addition, they advised me that I need to use the included USB-A/HDMI cord instead of the USB-C. This created an unusable display and impeded the trackpad on the Mac from operating.> I advised customer service regarding the problem with the USB-A cable and received no response.> In fairness, the SideTrak compatibility with the older model Mac works well and has a very good display.I am very disappointed in the SideTrak customer service team. Not only were they unaware of compatibility issues with the new M1. But when advised of the issue, attempted to blame the host device and then stopped communicating with me.I would caution anyone from purchasing a SideTrak monitor.

The media could not be loaded. Great portable screen, easy to set up and travel with. Brightness can be adjusted. Works well with Macs and Windows. It was a bit on the pricier side and I’m not sure if the price is really worth it especially since my screen stopped working after some time and I had to order a replacement.

It was absolutely plug and play with the included USB-C to USB-C cable, and the screen resolution is about the same as with the MacBook Pro. (My laptop is a pre-Retina display.) And it draws its power from the laptop, meaning you don't need to have a power outlet somewhere to use the setup.I use it as a second screen when developing software, and the display is lightweight enough to pack and travel with when I want to get out of the house but still be able to get work done. The display can be made bright enough to work in a shaded outdoor environment--though when the brightness is turned all the way up and you're running intensive processes on the MacBook Pro, you can eat through the battery in just about three hours.It's perfect, and allows me to enjoy my back deck during the spring.
