Well...while on vacation I ripped the waterproof case for my phone somehow and water got in it. :-( Had to open up the phone, get the visible water out, did the rice thing overnight, cleaned with alcohol just in case, let it air dry. Although I could already hear it was powering on and the sounds were working but the screen was not, it stayed black. Sometimes I'd get a green screen for a bit. In my google searching came across the idea to replace the screen. I was really upset about the idea of having to get a new phone and not be able to transfer all of my info because the screen wouldn't come on. For the price, this was an excellent solution! Yes, it states that there is no fingerprint scanner in the description. As well as reviewers mentioning this point. The solution? Changed the unlock screen to face recognition! It's just as convenient than the fingerprint scanner. Some say the installation was not easy. Personally, I found it to be pretty easy! And I'm no expert. There are YouTube videos that can assist you. The pieces are fragile but not scary fragile. Just be careful. It's just removing the back panel, the bracket (that has about 12 tiny screws), disconnecting the cables, battery and a few other pieces (again all you can see in those videos). I didn't time it but it really didn't take that long. So happy after being without my phone for 4 days! ;-) The quality of the screen seems good. But like others said, the brightness is duller. Sort of like how a monitor turns to night vision for less eye strain. You can turn up the brightness, but it's not as crisp as the original. Overall, I'm happy with it and it saved me some money!!

Fingerprint doesn't work, adaptive brightness no longer works, notch is more prominent than oem, and screen is iffy on the touch sometimes but for the price, it works and definitely worth.For the touch, I just turned on "Touch sensitivity" and turned off the "Adaptive brightness" option. My kid uses this phone so it's no biggie for me.

Phone was fixed and working great.

Only had a few weeks. Fell apart.. Literally separated, not from the phone but the screen only separated.Now wont work at all.. brightness is a joke.. for example turn the original screen down to the lowest and that will be how "bright" this screen got turned all the way up. To see your screen out doors is a joke.. you literally have to physically go to a shaded area or inside to see it. When going back through the description it never mentions the actual pixels/resolution. They just simply state their item is a "quality" screen. Our particular screen didn't have the finger print scanner, which we didn't know until I installed it.. went back through the description and 1 time all the way at the bottom does it mention this. Finally before it fell apart I was so disgusted with the quality however couldn't find anyway to contact the seller so I had to have a rep from Amazon call me to give me a refund. Wasn't even worth the cost of shipping.

Have an a515u and the screen fits but color and brightness seems just a tiny bit worse than the original. Also is a bit thicker than the original so fitting it in the case I had was a bit of a struggle. Overall everything worked and it's cheap. Tools that came with were helpful but the screen could be a bit better.

Arrived on time

The frame did not include any metal pads so I had to move over all of the metal pads from the OEM frame to this frame. This frame also had a different cutout for the earphone speaker, so the earphone speaker that I moved over from the old phone was not retained in place when the phone was put back together. This resulted in the earphone not being pressed against the exposed pins on the CPU board rendering it inoperable. In all, this frame is a low quality copy and the LCD is definitely not as bright as an OEM one.
