Slimy feel in soup. Not very appetizing
The product sounds great, but in use it's not pleasant at all. Slimy feeling in the mouth. I thought I would d add it to soup. It did not work well.

These aren’t “flakes” at all. Looks like dusty old hair. Gross.

shaved kombu
After watching tv show "Journeys in Japan-Rausa" which talks about kombu seaweed and all it's uses, I was eager to try the shaved kombu. I am very happy with this product and will eagerly use it in many dishes. This is not meant for dashi soup base. It goes very well with sushi dishes amongst others and adds a lovely umami flavor to my meals.
