A great pre-filter
Since my water has a pretty high iron (rust) content, I needed a pre-filter with a lot of holding capacity before my main filter and the softener. This filter does a great job of filtering out the big stuff with very little loss of water pressure.

Perfect replacement element for my well. Claims to be cleanable, but after six months of capturing sulfur and iron compounds, it is coated with a black pasty compound and ready for the trash. Best to install a new one.

You can't find a better filter!
The polyester material in this filter is slightly dimpled which gives it rigidity. The pleats are also very evenly spaced around the perimeter and distorts only slightly when placed into a housing and tightened. The manufacturer says the material is bacteria and chemical resistant with a temperature range of 40° to 125°. It has a long life, high flow rate, and is washable and reusable, I am extremely pleased with this filter which comes protected in a plastic sleeve. A high quality product, bravo Hydronix!
