Principles of Web Design (The Web Technologies Series)

This is an excellent book to teach the psychology behind web design. While focusing on the technical aspect of designing a website, it also teaches the important side of user experience — the psychology behind how users want to interact with information. There are many projects that teach each principle in the book. It's well written and easy to read.I ordered this book on December 22. It's now January 14, and I still don't have the book. My classes have started, and I will be in class for two weeks before I get the book, estimated to arrive ONE MONTH AFTER I placed the order. I had to purchase another copy from the school book store at more than twice the price because of this company's lousy shipping practices. So much for planning ahead.

I am renting this book, however if you are serious about web design, you may want to go ahead and purchase. It is shockingly easy to read and there are step by step (almost-hence 4 stars instead of five) instructions for the assignments. I'll definitely be buying this book.

This book really taught me how to understand and write code. I was initially intimidated about the class that I had to take but this book was a life saver and helped me earn an "A" in the class. Thx a mil!!

Compared to New Perspectives on HTML, CSS, and Dynamic HTML, which I bought last year, Principles of Web Design is crystal clear! And it even has a beautiful picture of God's Creation!
