The Braeburn 5490 remote outdoor sensor senses the outdoor air temperature and transmits the information to a compatible Braeburn thermostat. When the 5490 sensor has been installed, the thermostat can display the outdoor temperature, limit the heat pump system, and automatically limit humidification settings.

Does not work with the model 3020. I bought the 3020 because in the description for here it says it enables outdoor control but in reality the 3020 cannot read an outdoor temperature.

Accurate - effective
Purchased this to add the outdoor temperature display to my internal thermostat display. It has an extremely long cable and accurately senses the temperature.
