The seller on eBay told me these are NOT made by Rodenstock but are a former model of the Rodenstock brand which is not remanufactured (I guess it's some sort of relicensing by Rodenstock) by Rodenstock but rather by a third party company. Thats why they can afford that economical price can be offered they said. They sounded to me that it's not anymore an "Rodenstock quality", so thats not to be expected. This seems to be an licensed copy of an original Rodenstock model but without the high german quality.MAIN REVIEW: I bought these at eBay for 15$. Now they retail there for an ridiculous 60$. These are IMO worth about 10$ since its plain and simple stainless steel wire. These are pretty good made like the welds (yes welds) but not nearly as good as my Italian or Japanese made Rodenstock. These are made in China. Not to bad but at 15$ I would consider them overpriced. No glasses frame of any brand is worth more than 20$ so all CK, Gucchi, Ray Ban, etc at 100+ $ are just ridiculous.The temples do not fit as well as did those of my italian Rodenstock (another model) although they are sold as the same length. The Frame seems to be stainless steel as an magnet doesnt stick to it. I see some suspicious toolmarks on some spots of the frame. The weld spots they ground just down and polished them - but clearly one sees weld marks on the temples. I wonder if the weld spots will break since those spots are not as sturdy as continuous temple glasses. Seems these chinese made glasses have quality issues. They are as well more flimsy than my other Rodenstock I have, but that may be due to the model.One issue is the temples do not fit me as well as my italian Rodenstock with same dimensions do. Seems for chinese 135 mm isnt as long as for europeans or japanese made products. The temples are on the shorter side.As well the nose pads do not show an "R" for Rodenstock as did my other Rodenstock glasses. So that rises questions about the genuinity. For an lesser sturdy product like these the price of 15$ is IMHO a little overpriced. One accidental "sitting down on them" and these will be not fixable anymore that easily. But these are lightweigth. Nowhere they are marked as "Rodenstock" - contrary to my other glasses.These are silver shiny, since it is polished stainless steel. They have an very oblongated oval look for my face which gives me a younger appearance. The glasses look a little if someone modeled them after chicken eggs. But after all they do their job: holding glasses in front of your eyes.I believe there are better models and quality as these.
