I just wish it got tougher paint on the screen/grille. But I still give it 5 stars for having able to take all types of abuses my kids could give to it.

Little speaker has decent sound.. I use it for camping trips as well as for when I'm in the shower. Battery lasts about 4-5 hours on a full charge from my experience.

Floats-- yes. Works while floating -- NO.
It floats, yes, and that's great. What it does NOT do is float and keep playing. The sound (which is decent otherwise, especially for such a small speaker) immediately cuts off once the speaker is dropped or placed in the water. So it has to be clipped to the side of the pool rather than being able to float in it and keep working. That's not great, and I think it's something that should be clearly stated in the item's description.ADDITIONAL REVIEW OF 2ND SET (7/15/16): So the seller contacted me by email after seeing my initial review and offered to send me a second speaker at no cost. I agreed and the new speaker arrived very quickly. I tried it out in the range the seller specified (well within that range actually; they said the device should be within 30 feet or so of the speaker, and I had it about 4 ft away max). The new speaker DOES work while floating in the pool, which the first set did not. HOWEVER, it only works if the water is pretty still. If you splash around in the pool and the thing bobs in the water, you lose sound. If it gets splashed, you lose sound. Not what I'm looking for in a floating speaker. I didn't update my review because it's much the same as I originally said-- it floats. It works and seems waterproof. But it doesn't do what I want a floating speaker to do, which is to float around in the pool and play music while we're in there. (Unless nobody moves, which isn't happening.) This morning the seller's rep called me on my cellphone twice, from China, to bug me about updating the review. Well, okay, here it is. All I can do is be honest about how it worked (or didn't) in my pool and my opinion-- which sadly is still the same as before.

This speaker seems to last forever on a single charge.

A summer must
I bought this product at a discount for my opinion on the product. When I first opened the packaging, I was skeptical of how it was going to work. It came with an aux cord, charging cord and the directions. One thing I noticed is that it didn't come with the plug to put into the wall for the charging cord. Which I was a little bummed about, because I can never find extra ones, but it isn't horrible because we have a few already for other electronics. The directions were very clear. I turned it on as soon as I opened it. It doesn't have any screens, but when you turn on the functions, it tells you what function it is in. I told me it was in pairing mode, when I went to connect my phone. The set up is easy and my Samsung Galaxy Edge connected to it within seconds. The sound is pretty loud to be a smaller speaker. Then I handed it to my 6 year old and told her to drop it in the bucket of water. I was very nervous and so was she. I KEPT PLAYING! We had it in the water for about 15mintues. Then I called myself and answered it with the button on the speaker. I had my daughter walk about 25-30 feet away to see what the connection would do, and when she got so far, it told her she was too far away. I am really excited to try this out in the pool this summer. It seems like a perfect item to pack in our swim bag for the pool and for the beach. It also came with a clip to be able to attach it to something. ill probably buy a wrist strap for it, so we don't lose it in the waves.
