Loved by goldenfinches
Didn't see any golden finches in the garden so decided to buy these to attract them and it worked. Lots of golden finches came to my garden to eat this.

Generally good but a bit too much chaff
I've been putting out Niger seeds for the Goldfinches a while now, I'd previously only purchased small bags but that was getting expensive.I therefore thought I would try a bigger bag.These arrived promptly and simply packaged, a plastic bag inside a cardboard box.The seeds are okay and have proven popular with the Goldfinches, there is just too much chaff for my liking. By that I mean bits of straw, grass or small twigs (see my photos).So overall I think these are good and definitely offer better value for money than buying small 100g bags.I hope you find my review helpful.

Our feathery guests really enjoy these seeds. You get a lot for your money. We have one nyger seed feeder and a lot of hungry goldfinches and the 5kg lasted us over 4 months.

Provide food daily to reduce the risk of bacteria building up, and to stop food going stale. Try to ensure fresh water is available. Once a feeding routine has been developed, it is vital to maintain this routine, as birds come to depend on this food source.
