FJMSecurity SX-873 4-Dial Combination Padlock With Black Finish and 10,000 Possible Combinations

Do NOT buy these locks! I needed a lock that did not have a key and that only a couple people would know the combination. I had to return a similar lock with 5 dials. So, i hoped an FJM 4 dial would give less trouble. I tried this 'Plain' style lock several times over the 30 day return window and had no problems. I thought it was now safe to put on an outside gate that i seldom use. After 3 months outside in the arid soutwest weather with no visible rust on it, it will not open. I have tried many suggestions. One customer said their dial only turned to right. The dials on this model move in both directions, but, I thought it best to be consistent and turn only to the right. Nope, nothing works, this lock now will NOT open and will have to be cut off. Another red flag: Why would FJM close the support window on it's customers? Aren't these locks supposed to last years? $16 down the drain. FJM, Please make a better dial lock and continue to support your long term customers!!

I was surprised how heavy it was. Solid heavy lock. The long neck makes it easy to use outdoors and put in or out on taller gates. The combination setup is very simple and the front facing numbers make it very convenient to see them and use them. The numbers are big and very conveniently placed on the front so you don't have to fumble or squint at night or daytime to use it. The neck is average sized and would fit in most gates. Very very happy with it. Highly recommended instead of more expensive and confusing Masterlocks

Do not buy this lock. Although the materials appear to be high quality, after only three months, the dial is almost impossible to turn. This means that after you lock it, most numbers in your combination are still visible. Too late to return it, but would LOVE some feedback from the seller about why a lock which is otherwise good quality has such an impossible dial. This makes the lock virtually useless. Really annoying!! Again, do not buy this.

The lock is okay. The number dials do not turn as smoothly as a Master lock I have. Also all the number dials will stop at zero when turned to the left and will not go further. Turning to the right is fine, which is what I do to open it. I pulled two stars for that. I have not called the manufacturer. The rubber sleeve is nice. I have this lock on a shed and I don't have to worry about damaging the shed surface if I bang the lock around. The lock did not arrive in retail store packaging. It was in a clear plastic bag with the instruction paper.

DOA! I opened the box, removed the padlock, followed instructions and when I inserted the key to change the combination, the mechanism just SANK INTO THE PADLOCK. It literally imploded!. This piece of crap must be made in China. I wish there were a zero star option! Thankfully, Amazon is solid gold (not gold plated)and promptly refunded my money.Amazon is the best!!!

Nice lock but WAAAAAY to big for a school locker. Don't know why I thought it would fit. Some reviews said it would. Take my word. TOO BIG!

The locked worked great for 3 weeks. Then I could not rotate combination to lock .

Works good. I have to say,the casing around it is useless as far as weather protection. I found I had to remove it to dry it out.but the lock itself works fine.

I had one for 6-7 years and finally failed after using it almost everyday. It’s very hard to break it. The gym staff gave up, the cutter barely dent it. I eventually managed to cut it open with my strength. It’s surely offer the security I need. I came back to buy the second one. I hope this brand will keep producing combination lock as long as I need one.

I like this lock a lot because of the front facing dials to enter the combination. It makes it very easy to use and access on a daily basis. I use this lock on my gate which I feel is very secure because it has thousands of combinations and the lock is also very sturdy and well made compared to other combination locks. There are different versions of this lock but so far this long shackle has done the job and I am very happy with my purchase!

Solid and smooth movements. Very easy to set up and use. Hoping it does well through the winter but it looks like it can take it!

This lock has been on my shed door for over 2 years and its still working. Exposed to all the elements and freezing temperatures. Sometimes the lock will stick when it is freezing rain outside but pulling up and down on it will get it to open every time.Some of the black paint has chipped off and the silver hoop lock is showing slight surface rust...but still going strong. I am pleased with this lock.

J'ai acheté ce cadenas, pour sécuriser l'accès à mon cabanon, donc pour utilisation à l'extérieur. La lecture des chiffres est facile et jusqu'à maintenant il fonctionne très bien malgré la neige et la pluies. Je pense en acheter un autre pour la seconde porte en utilisant la même combinaison de chiffre.
