This series is like nothing else on TV. We watched it years ago and were delighted to find it here. Highly recommended to those who have an interest in the strange!

Don't read this unless you want to spoil the story line.Having said that I anticipate that this will be the longest review that I have written. I will achieve this is segments due to the fact that I am still currently watching the show on dvd.By the time that I am finished every episode I will have amassed a thorough critique. Forgive me if you find my installment a bit incomplete. This is a work in progress and eventually this feedback will reflect the depth of genius with which the FRINGE creators have, so magnificently" shared with us.Stay tuned or subscribe to this post if you are interested in my evaluation. Thank you.The area where I normally find fault with Sci-Fi dramas is when the plot gets gummed-up with romance and personal relationships. Not having personally experienced an apocalyptic event I can still imagine that those who are closest to me would be my greatest possessions. Holding on to those would be imperative.Having said all of that, I have to contrast by saying, when I want to watch sci-fi I don't want to be watching a romantic drama.The writers of FRINGE have managed to create a mesh between the two that I have found surprisingly enjoyable.Olivia and Peter along with Fo-livia from the other world are tethered together is such and unbelievable spiderweb that is unlike any other.Walter is beautifully charming and lovable except for his dark side. He is haunted by the choices he has made to the brink of insanity. Bittersweet, love or hate, it is difficult to decide what emotional characteristic is most fitting. The cast of characters burden me with moral judgement not knowing if they are trustworthy. How can I find fault with Foliva just because she is from the other side? Olivia herself is becoming questionable but still her emotions are justified.Season 4: episode 19;It was almost too much.It was like chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry. If it had chocolate syrup on it then I would have to say it was too rich. Fortunately I have a sweet-tooth and I dove in head first. I ate it up. I am not a promoter of illicit drug use in any way so I have to restrict my observations to a minimum.I was in awe over the risks that the writers took and continue to take throughout this collection.As I can only imagine in times of apocalyptic destruction it will be difficult to identify the bad-guy. In my mind, as the viewer, I am constantly trying to balance out which side is good and which is evil. Perhaps they are one and the same. Both side equally good and evil with each one drastically clinging to the last shreds of reality.I keep wanting more, knowing that in the end I will still be left wanting.

I had heard about this series, but was unable to watch it while it was on. When I saw that the entire series could be had I decided to use it for one of my jet lag series.While I thought the major arc moved a little slowly at first I enjoyed the first season of getting to know the characters. The second and third seasons I was glued to my set. Unfortunately, I didn't quite enjoy the 4th season, because it seemed to come out of nowhere. It felt like a major left turn into a totally new universe and I didn't particularly like most of the inhabitants. I am grateful they were given a fifth season to wind up several threads that had been dangling since season one. Given that I had to accept the premises delivered in season 4, season 5 at least redeemed some of them a bit.My issues only target the storyline, one that many may not have. As far as acting, it was amazing to watch actors explore the tiny differences that could appear should their character or life just been slightly different. Just the way the moved and held their bodies made it readily apparent as to which version they were.The series came in a box which held the five series in separate season boxes. Within the cases the disks can be attached to the plastic "pages" by the center, which means there is no sliding and therefore fewer scratches.I have seen several although not all of the special features. The ones I have seen were enjoyable and quite informative on giving behind the scenes look.All of the disks were good although one episode, the one where the man keeps resetting time so he can spend time with his wife who has Alzheimer's, kept skipping. At first I thought it was part of the show, I finally had to give up and just read about the episode.So while I may not have "loved" all of the storyline, I did enjoy all of the shows.I recommend this series.

It's a fantastic TV series to watch. I am happy to have bought it.

Não gostei muito do vídeo, mesmo pra DVD poderia ser melhor... tenho séries bem mais antigas a/v bem melhores. Mas todas as temporadas têm áudio e legenda pt br. O que é muito difícil encontrar numa série gringa... por isso pra mim valeu a pena, mesmo assim.

All library case corners worn or damaged. Seasons three and four DVD cases have broken lower disc holder hinges. Inspection of DVDs seems satisfactory. Playing DVDs will be determinate.Standard incompetent "Amazon Delivery". Delivery Instructions not followed. Package was not left in designated location. Doorbell not rung per Delivery Instructions.Tracking Information not updated for hours.Extreme inconvenience to a disabled person. NOT THE FIRST TIME.

The box set arrived in a sturdy plain brown box, an intact security strip tape, minimal protective packaging inside but it was all still in perfect condition. All dvd's were in their holders and I'm happy with this purchase.

The boxset is damaged outside and out. The box itself it bruised and broken, the plastic cases containning the dvds are broken inside and out, plastic boxes for each season is even broken inside and the articulated pin that holds the dvds are broken. I got it fast but in a TERRIBLE condition.
