They work great!
I tested these MIDI cables out on two old MIDI synths from the 80s, a Yamaha PSS-480 and a PSS-680. I ran them through an Audiobox USB adapter and they both connected to my PC and I was able to control their settings from a SysEx editor. These cables work flawlessly.

Deceptively short. The total length is just about 30cm INCLUDING the connectors. They measure the 30cm from steel tip to steel tip. So in essence you have a very short 20cm cable. Buy the longer cable.
