One of the things my son asked for for Christmas was his own mug. After spending weeks researching and looking for a lead/cadmium/mercury/etc-free option, I decided I could trust no one. 😂 So I went with glass, again.My child loves these. They are easy for him to hold since they are so light, and they stay cool to the touch. He loves how the liquid looks like it is floating. He also loves the overall fancy look.Those are all the reasons I dislike these mugs. I like the weight of glass. I like to feel the heat on the outside of my mug. I like the rugged appeal of a jar with a handle like that of the Ball glasses.I knew what I was getting into when I bought these and it is not something I would have bought for myself. But they are exactly what my kid wanted/needed.I can't speak as to durability, yet. They have thin walls and make me nervous when I wash them. I thought they would break when I poured hot water into them, but they did not. I do always warm them (and all glass) a bit. I can't bring myself to just pouring hot liquid into them without tempering them, first.As I mentioned, they are very lightweight. I think even lighter than plastic would be. So these would be great for someone who cannot handle a lot of weight in their hands.

These mugs are very lightweight. Even with liquid in them, it can be tough to tell because it doesn't add much weight. I think I'd prefer a little more weight to them.Sadly, I managed to break a mug because it fell into the sink from my dish rack. Because it's wider on top, I accidentally knocked it off when trying to put another cup next to it. So when drying these, best to put them inside the rack to make sure they're stable. Also, mine didn't shatter completely, but the pieces are still very sharp.With very hot water, the outside of the glass is warm to the touch, so quite safe.So for me, this is a mixed bag kind of product.

I bought these cups about a year and a half ago. They are great!!! I use the mugs daily and have had no problems at all. I always put hot water into thecup and let set a few minutes, then dump out the water and put in a stainless steel spoon to help conduct away some more of the heat before adding hot liquid.

I purchased these glasses (set of two) to replace an old set of double walled cups that I had broken over the years. I had been using a ceramic cup and found that the temperature was not maintained to my liking. After purchasing these cups, I'm now enjoying hot beverages that last longer than my experience with the ceramic cup.

I loved these glasses but already cracked and I had to toss it out. Very pricey for them cracking easily.

Loved the way these mugs kept beverages at temperature but...Bought 6 for Xmas and by March we only have two left unbroken, one with a small crack. Beware, they are not sturdy. We knew they were thin walled glass and didn't toss them around but they just couldn't stand up to our every day usage. We even stopped putting them in the dishwasher and hand washed them but just putting them into the cupboard against another cup can chip them. And they're not cheap.

I bought these due to concerns about lead and other toxins in a lot of commercial mugs. They are somewhat delicate but beautiful and work well, tolerating hot tea and coffee just fine. They keep your hot beverage hot longer than a ceramic mug and I love that. Very happy with them.

Bought as a gift set of two cups for a friend. He likes the coffee temp, which stays warm, and he says he likes seeing cream mix in and the comfort of the handle. We both wish it wasn't plasticized glass, though. It doesn't affect the flavor, but we are trying to cut down on plastics in our lives.
