I ordered several brands of fun sock and most were very thin, alright for a few hours of dressing up with dress shoes etc. but after a day at work wearing the other brands my toes were poking through. These were exactly what I have been looking for, fun designs I can wear, really wear, with boat shoes, sneakers, at work or out, Material is thick, almost as thick as a regular tube sock, sport sock. 4 out of 5 only because the calf is very tight, but that could be my big calves, if you are short enough for these to go over you calf they would be perfect. Foot and ankle fit great, very comfortable.
