NIV, Celebrate Recovery Study Bible, Paperback, Comfort Print

I received this bible on time but paid more for LARGE PRINT as advertised on the front of cover. It is definitely NOT large print and I want a refund.!! Please send me the paid label to return it. My eye sight is poor and I can't read small print. I am very disappointed because I feel I was lied to.I hope you can see the 3 pictures I sent to show the comparison with a large print book I have.

I am very pleased to use this bible. I do jail ministry and we get these Celebrate Recovery Bibles donated and we hand them out to the ladies that comes to the session or request a bible. It relates to people who are in recovery of AA or NA or any thing that has you hung up on life. It has step lessons in it and it teaches about Christ and God's love for them and how to make better life decisions . It amazing how some people have never picked up a bible or learned about God. So these ladies enjoyed this learning from a different perspective. ..and knowing first handed, God is the only way to break an addiction and make it work. . ..

There used to be a Bible app for this, much better. As usual, Kindle is great for reading front to back, but not so good for something like a Bible where you jump around a lot. However, I am managing to get around. The table of contents is useful. Its irritating that the order of the lessons makes no sense what so ever. I suppose its alphabetical but you want lesson 2, you may have to hunt through the whole series of lessons to find it.

I read the other reviews before purchasing, and for me, the size of this print is nice. Just right. I appreciate the layout, with all the extra study material. I especially appreciate how it's connected by step; in other words, you start at one place; it will tell you where to go next to continue that step study, taking you right to the page with info and scripture references. Lots of personal examples from peoples lives for encouragement. I can recommend this to anyone looking for deeper revelation. Just go slow, take your time, pray for insights as you go, and I think you will be blessed, as I have been.

I love my NIV Celebrate Recovery Study Bible. It would have been a 5 Star except It's not considered "large print" compared to other Bibles I've purchased over the years. I especially loved reading the history of Celebrate Recovery- how it got started; based on the eight principles and the underlying twelve Christ-centered recovery steps and also designed to help anyone who is struggling with their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. And, it includes 50 Bible character studies, Recovery stories, daily devotionals, lesson studies and Recovery-related scripture ties. This is a must have for anyone who is in CR and anyone who knows they need help but is still thinking about getting help. I was one of those "still thinking" but not any more. MJ

This is AMAZING. I am addicted to it. LOVE IT. I totally recommend this Bible, it will sure help you feel much better about not feeling alone in all your hurts habits and hang ups, gives great perspective, and assurance.

I visit the local jail and had two requests for Bible so I had Amazon deliver this and the LIFE RECOVERY BIBLE that is structured around AAs 12-step program. This Bible is built around the Beatitudes. The women in the local jail overwhelmingly preferred this Bible. My husband and I each purchased one to learn about the various pluses of the CR Study Bible and have taken a friend to two meetings.

I really didn't need a new Bible, but I had started the Celebrate Recovery program. They encouraged us to buy either the books or the Bible that has most of the lessons right in it.I have found the Celebrate Recovery Bible Helpful to me in and out of the program.The lessons that we are given in the program are right in the front of the Bible. It also offers additional items that are useful for self study as well.Not only are there Celebrate Recovery items, there are also Profiles of people in the Bible such as John, Paul, Ruth, Esther, etc. As well as personal stories from others who have traveled the Celebrate Recovery Road.I would recommend this Bible for anyone that is looking for an additional Study to their Bible time. Celebrate Recovery is not just for alcoholics and addicts, it is for anyone struggling with anything in life such as anger issues, depression, unforgiveness, etc. This Bible is a good tool to a stronger walk with the Lord through everyday life.

This is a great Bible for anyone in recovery. It has practical ways to work the 12 steps and stories of both biblical and modern day people who have found hope in God.

I have a few bibles at home, but when it comes to finding help for the every day issues I struggle with, this is my Bible of choice. I find the character studies, and testimonials very helpful and encouraging.
