Works great
This works perfectly with my blagic magic pocket cam 4k. We have a mounting rack already on it and it fits great. It's been working like a charm since day one and we've had it for about 3 months making weekly videos. Would recommend!I am updating my review. It only lasted 8 months which I'm not too happy with. But I will be ordering another since it is what I like in terms of portability.

No complaints about this product. It works every time.

Know your amp requirements, get two, and you can hot swap
12v/7.4v at the same time. Great.

Annoying release button, otherwise it works well.
I have this battery plate on my Canon M50 rig with a Power Extra NP-970 battery. While it works well, I'm not a fan of the button that releases the battery from the plate. It's difficult to get to and sits too close to the battery. SmallRig (or whichever company actually makes this plate) could have placed the release button (or spring loaded slide release) farther away from the battery and made it easier. I'm trying to stick with SmallRig to prevent compatibility issues but I find they're not perfect and it may make sense to try other brands, too. It's been a learning experience putting this rig together and taking my time to find the right component is key to coming out happy with the results.

Much improved snug fit
I had the first version of this battery plate which was made of metal. I had issues on the old version with my Blackmagic 4K turning off any time the camera got bumped because the holder for the battery was slightly loose. This new version is an improvement. I was initially skeptical with the plate now being made of plastic, but it feels just as sturdy and not like a cheap plastic. The reduction in weight in my rig is significant with this version of the plate. The LED indicator also shows when the battery is undervolting (approaching its drained state) with a red light. This has saved me so much time and inconvenience because I know to plan to switch the battery before it dies on me. I have been a fan of SmallRig's products and growth over the years. This one is refined and made with functional design in mind.

Works better than expected.
With all the horror stories you hear on YouTube or from other BMPCC owners, about its internal battery’s lifespan, this device will be a great alternative, as well as a game changer. FYI, I do run and gun, as well as studio shoots with my BMPCC, and, there is no way I would go out and purchase any kind of the mount battery system. As my rig has an external monitor, an external microphone for scratch audio, HDMI Wi-Fi transmitter, not to mention the camera and all associated cables. Therefore, adding anything more than this battery interface device would be ridiculous, let alone bulky.

Plastic
Seems fine. But I thought it was metal based on the picture. It's just plastic.
