You could probably bend one of these out of wire, but to make your work neater with less spills and easier, this filter holder fills the bill. The coupling between the two parts uses 4 set screws for a snug and reliable fit. Also the wire frame is of a sturdy gauge, about 3/16” dia., steel. The entire thing fits directly over a standard one gallon paint can so straining paint into one or anything smaller is an easy task.

There’s a very good chance you could just make one on your own by driving a car over a piece of heavy-gauge metal wire. Yet, despite the exorbitant cost of this device, it does do what it was designed to do. Really, this thing is expensive AF for what you get. I guess that’s just the world we live in these days. It will serve it's intended purpose but a bit expensive for a piece of bent wire.

Pouring paint into a filter takes about three hands. This holder helps you filter the paint easily

It works well and feels sturdy. I'm not concerned it will tip unexpectedly and make a mess. However, the price seems high for what you get.
