Gorgeous pop of bold purple color
This purple sweet potato powder works great to add rich color to almost anything! I often bake goodies for the elderly, including Alzheimer's patients. It's no secret that purple is a favorite color of many. This powder has enabled me to add natural purple color to everything from pancakes to cupcakes to yogurt. It looks very pretty. The amount you need will vary depending on what you are preparing. It only takes a tiny bit to make a bowl of yogurt look special. Baked goods aren't as deep but are gorgeous.Purple sweet potatoes are a good source of anthocyan antioxidants. The type found in blueberries. While the powder isn't a substitute for the whole potato, it can offer a little bit of added nutrition along with a bold splash of color.I regularly eat Okinawan or Hawaiian sweet potatoes. They are white on the outside. When cut raw, they are lavender inside. When you bake them they are DEEP purple. Super sweet, too. Seeing this gorgeous natural purple hue in other foods is a real treat.

GREAT for baking – pretty purplish!
Tastes great and looks good. Depends on what color you are going for to how much you will have to use. You can also make mochi with this! It all depends on what you use it for – and how much – for the consistency you get. This package, although not tiny, is not ginormous either so it is best used for a bit of coloring purposes – not a primary ingredient in baking. It seals back up well to – some bags are hokey and I hate those bags.If you found my review helpful, why not click the “helpful” button. Thanks! Enjoy your day! : )

Beautiful color - An excellent alternative to artificial coloring - Mild taste
I am thrilled to have this all natural alternative to artificial coloring. Initially I tried it with is plain 2% milk to determine if the potato powder has any flavor. It has just the tiniest sweetness. Nothing that would affect the flavor when used in baking or in a milkshake. This is a very , very fine powder. When you close the package, be sure to do it slowly… otherwise if you grab hold of it, you will end up with purple plume shooting straight upward. Also, if not mixed promptly, it can clump up a bit. That will probably not be an issue for a blended milkshake.Overall, this is a fantastic product that I wish I had known about sooner. You can feel good giving your children (and yourself) foods dyed with this color.

Beautiful purple color
It is a pretty purple color for adding color to my foods. It is the sweet potato powder, fine without clump. There’s no artificial ingredients added to this powder, so it is natural, and a healthy food coloring option. The powder itself doesn’t have strong flavors, and wouldn’t affect the overall flavor of the foods it adds to.I add it to other mixes or flours to make my foods. It makes beautiful violet color cakes, cookies, pancakes, waffles or breads. It is so fun to use it to create colored nice looking foods.

All Natural Food Coloring
I ordered this so I could make purple cake, cookies, and bread. My granddaughter's favorite color is purple. However, I also like to put a teaspoon of this Purple Sweet Potato Powder in my smoothies as it is rich in potassium and vitamin B6, and it has a lot of fiber.I really like that this is 100% purple sweet potato. No additives. No sugar. No salt. Nothing. BOROVELA, a Japanese company, has created a very nice product here.

Natural coloring powder for mochi donut
I have always prefer using natural food coloring powder instead of artificial food coloring drops. The power I have received does smell like purple yam. The expiration date is 02/2023. It is great for making purple mochi donut topping. I have to mix it with the white chocolate. I like how the color present on the donuts. It does require a lot of amount in order to bring out deeper color though.
