Clairefontaine Pastelmat Trial Pack - Dark Colours - 7 sheets 25x35cm (9.8"x13.7")

This is the best pastel paper I have found. Takes lots of layers of pastel and allows for easy blending. I recommend this product and will be purchasing it again for myself in the future.

Met and passed my expectations

Pastelmat is a wonderful surface for the pastel and charcoal artist. It has a nice tooth.

This pastel paper is great to work with, you can feel a little softness to the touch and yet also feels smooth. The tooth grips the pastel very well and there is little dust created unless you press the pastel in firm. The paper can take a few layers allowing for detailed work and is kinder to your fingers if you use them for blending compared to much coarser sanded papers. Why not check out youtube channels giving out reviews, a guy named Jason Morgan is well worth watching besides many others who give great advice. I really think this paper is well worth using, just give it a try.

I like the pastelmat, the best thing is that the pastels cover the paper really well. The worst thing is it is quite expensive so you need to get it right!
