Protection from sun AND bugs! Plus, it looks good!
I just bought this for two upcoming trips - to Costa Rica and to South Africa. With fears of Zika virus everywhere right now, I wanted a hat to shade myself from the sun, but also protect from mosquitoes and other flying gnats and insects. This hat is a heavy duty canvas (I bought khaki color to match most of my clothes) with an SPF protection built in. You can wear it so the brim keeps you completely shaded, or you can snap one or two sides to make it a different style. The best part is on the top of the hat is a zippered area that holds mosquito netting. The netting goes completely over the hat and over your entire head and shoulders! When you are done, you just stuff it back into the top (it's attached so it won't fall off), zip it and you're back to just using the hat! My husband laughed at me when I ordered it, but he tried it on and I do believe he will have me order one for him as well!
