🍇 Berry Good Times Await!
The PERFECT PLANTS Ouachita Thornless Blackberry Bush is a hardy, self-fertile vine that produces large, sweet blackberries. It thrives in hardiness zones 6-9 and requires approximately 400 chill hours to yield fruit, making it an ideal choice for home gardeners looking to enjoy fresh berries in the summer.

Blackberry bush
I planted mine right away in a sunny area with pretty sandy soil. I water it several times a week and put a tomato cage over it to let it climb. It's doing great! Big and bushy and healthy. I can't wait for those jumbo blackberries.

Great, will order again
I ordered 2 blackberry plants from this small business. I was kinda worried since it's extremely hot in our since weeks (95f+) area and shipping took about 5 days from FL to NM. My 2 plants just arrived. Well packed, soil still wet, healthy and big! Would definitely order again.

Yeah, about that...
Thornless Blackberries ARE AWESOME!!! IF you’ve never grown them and have any interest, I highly recommend that you take a page from Nike and JUST DO IT! They are super easy to care for and have delicious and plentiful yields. So why the low rating you ask? It’s not the plant… I actually can’t comment on that. It’s purely this company (Perfect Plants) that’s selling them. "Let me explain… no that will take too long, let me sum up." And if you know that quote, I’m already in love with you.Okay so if you didn’t know (sorry, I’m not judging you), Amazon has some of the best algorithms on the planet. Still, every now and then something goes wrong. So you might order something that cannot be shipped to you because of where you live (due to customs, fire-arms laws, agricultural practices, liberal/conservative practices, etc). Usually, you are prevented at checkout from completing a purchase if you run afoul of one of these things. If, for some reason, you still are able to make the purchase, a conscientious seller/vendor will cancel the order on their side and send you a message explaining why they did so. A nefarious seller/vendor will allow you to place the order, take your money, and then tell you "too bad sucker, go whine to Amazon and try to get a refund"… or, better yet, disguise that kind of message by saying… and I quote: “We’re Sorry We Could Not Fulfill Your Order - Due to strict agricultural laws we are unable to send live plants to your region at this time… blah blah blah… Please take this bag of blah blah blah as an apology (reading between the lines: a cheap bag of crap you don’t want) and reach out to Amazon Customer Support for a full refund on your purchase.”Let’s take a closer look at this. Rather than setting up something on their end that will help refund your money, a nefarious seller/vendor would take your money, not send you what you ordered, and instruct you to go ahead and jump through the many hoops needed to contact Amazon in hopes of getting a refund when they did actually deliver "something" to you. So, as far as the system is concerned, you placed and order and you received a package from the vendor, so everything looks good. Tricksy Hobbitsis. Well, time is money… think about it. How much money do you make an hour? Now think of how long it takes to navigate all the hurtles it takes to get through to Amazon to actually get anything resolved... Most would just give up at some point. But I digress.... now go ahead and put a dollar amount to that time you'll need to spend to speak to an actual human at Amazon (because, trust me, this issue is not at all anywhere near anything related to any semblance of any of their pre-programmed responses). Yeah, so if you take all that into consideration, you are basically paying to get your own money back??? WTF???Needless to say, that’s what I encountered from this seller. IMHO, this type of vendor/seller is not interested in customers, but only in how they can make the most money with the least effort. I actually applaud them for that (the capitalist in me and all), but I’m not here for that right now. I'm at a point where I want to make purchases from someone who has enough humanity to say “hey, my bad, we can’t get that to you, here’s your money back” instead of keeping my money and in their own way telling me go kick rocks and good luck with dealing with Amazon to get my money back. This review might get deleted, as nefarious sellers/vendors tend to be really good at getting things like this removed. But if you happen to be fortunate enough to see this before that happens, please quadruple-check (on your own time with your own extensive search efforts) whether or not the sender/vendor WILL ship to you. I still think the actual produce we be amazing though. Oh, OMG, and here’s the kicker… LMAO. I have actually ordered SEVERAL live plants on Amazon and other sites, from across the country, and have NEVER had an issue with restricted delivery. So I don’t even know what random law/ordinance is being cited as to the reason why I wasn't given the three new freestanding (as opposed to vining) thornless blackberry bushes that I was super excited about.Well, that’s it. Happy green-thumbing, and don’t order from these folks without doing a ton of research. If you find that you are in their deliver zone, better luck to you and go for it. If you cannot determine whether or not you are, then just keep shopping.Oh, I would be amiss if I didn't say that I did jump through all the hoops, did the whole Neo in the Matrix bullet-timing to dodge the bullets and get to a human (ACTUALLY ON THE PHONE, CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!!???!!) and was able to get a refund-aka Amazon digital gift card. So there is that sort of happy ending to this story. But if you have to be Neo from the Matrix... how happy is that ending really?

Nice looking plants
Tried to cancel this order but was not able to do so. I am GLAD i didn't as they are really nice plants and NOT what i thought they would be, small bare root plants but these were green and ready to plant. Very NICE PLANTS. Packed with care and if you are looking for black berry plants go with this business.

Nice surprise
I have to admit, it is sometimes a chance taken when ordering live plants from any site. This blackberry bush, however, was such a nice surprise. It came in a well marked live plant box and the plant is full of fruit that just needs to grow/ripen. I truly hope this will be a great plant for yrs to come. I will be happy to add this to my blackberry section when it comes time to plant it☺️

It may come severely heat stressed.
I believe this plant was healthy before it hit a warehouse and shipped 3 day through UPS. It arrived extremely heat stressed. This picture was the day after. It looked much worse when I opened the box. I will try and nurse it back to health however I shouldn't have to start there with my purchase.Update:It's starting to grow back on all main canes. It's lost at least 1/3rd of it's foliage. My issues are strictly with warehouse storage and transport through Amazon. It's proving to be a durable plant and had giant roots. I've upgraded to 3 stars and added a recent picture.
