Cicadas creep me out. They fly about in a random way and, based on my previous experience with bees and mosquitoes, I figured they would be flying at my face. Sure enough, I was sitting outside, not my choice, trust me, and they kept aiming right at me!! The hat with the netting was perfect. It’s funny, too - everyone laughed when I came out wearing the hat. That is, until they were swatting the cicadas away from THEIR faces.

The net hat was delivered on time and I finally got a chance to try it on in the woods this weekend. There was no weird smell when I received it, which happened before when I bought something in such a low price. To be honest, the quality is much better than I expected; I was expecting something disposable given the low price. I purchased mainly because of the appearance in the description, and the product turns out good looking too. It's slightly lighter in color than I thought, but frankly speaking I prefer it this way. I don't see mosquito sneaked in today, but partially this should contribute to the bug spray too. I used to get sunburned quite easily; so far I haven't notice any sunburn yet. I guess the net hat helped, but I probably will still use sunscreen in the future just in case. The light color of the net hat makes me unsure to rely on it for shielding, maybe I should get a black one. Speaking of shielding, I was worrying it might be too warm wearing the net hat, but it turns out ok.In general, this is a quite handy net hat with a reasonable quality and low price.

I was expecting this to be a cheap bare bones hat with a net thrown onto it. It's much better than that. Good quality materials, the net mesh is thin enough to see through easily, small enough not to let the small bug in, has an adjustable strap for both tightening the net and a chin strap for holding the hat on. Also has a breathable mesh inside the top of the hat which helps keep you cooler.

Over all I like this product because it does keep mosquitoes away. However, the mesh is VERY difficult to see through, especially if you are looking toward the sun. I purchased both the gray and beige hats and they are equally difficult to see through.

Fantastic material! Super soft and kind to skin. It fits me well and also my BF is able to wear it perfectly. Won’t fell tight around your head or hard to breathe. It also has very good sight of view because the silk has pretty good transparency and also good coverage.

It’s ugly.I got it for the cicadas. I haven’t seen any in Philadelphia yet but I hate bugs. I would rock this ugly hat just to keep them from crawling in my face and hair. Somebody needs to make something more stylish.

I use this while working in the yard to keep mosquitoes and others insects away from my head and neck, plus the hat is SPF50 sun protection. Works great.

It works. No more bites on my face and neck.
