I don't think it would taste as good due to the additional ingredients. You can buy dried elderberries (Frontier sells them here on Amazon) and use them to make jelly.

I have used the product 6 months after it was opened and it still had the same excellent results.

Yes. And it's a great product. I put several drops in water bottle to prevent sickness.
