received a used and broken bulb
I bought this to give some extra light to a christmas cactus in my house, and compared to other single LED light bulbs this one had great reviews around the internet as well as a reasonable price.Unfortunately today when I received it, I could have easy cut my hand on the jagged open plastic inside the manufacturer's box, which had obviously been cut open with scissors by a previous owner of the bulb. Not to mention, the black plastic round frame around the bulb had been shattered and several tiny pieces were floating around lose in the box. The white part of the bulb that has a little sticker with information on it was darkened as if it had been rolled around in the dirt.I could have gotten this at the local hardware store for the same price, and would have gladly taken the ride over to the store than to receive a filthy used item with packaging that could have cut my hand open. It makes me extremely angry that I now have to go through the trouble of replacing this item in order to get a brand new untampered with product. I do not understand why it is ok for Amazon to send out junk like this. It's almost insulting that Amazon thinks customers are so stupid to be happy and accepting of things, especially those who pay prime membership fees each year like we do at my house. How am I receiving prime membership benefits when I have to wait double the time due to having return items consistently due to poor quality?I gave this bulb 2 stars as I did not even test it out, due to this being the 4th time as of late that I pay for a new item, or an item with a product description that does not state the item has been previously owned or used. I also don't believe it is the manufacturer's fault as Amazon is the one who is shipping used items. Amazon is to blame and because of this when I hopefully receive my new bulb a few days from now, I will revise my review as I see fit.

So far so good
Bought this for over my sink to give my orchids some extra light. Was surprised by the color spectrum as I thought it would be the same as any grow light. I was wrong, it is bright red with a hint of blue, sort of Xmas all year long. So far the orchids like it so once I get use to the color I think it will be a success.

It kills TV antenna signal
It Kills TV signal. It took talking to a enginer at the local TV broadcasting company. The first thing he asked if there is a LED light in the house. I shut it off and the TV signal came in strong. Turn the light on and out went the TV signal. Tried it in many rooms other side of the house and same problem. So do not use if your TV signal comes from an antenna. My TV antenna is the best kind of HDTV digital antenna, an old school roof top. I use two antenna together with two boosters in the house. Very strong signal till this bulb came along. If you're into paying for cable or satellite I do not know if this bulb will screw with that signal.

Perfect for starting vegetable seeds.
I place 3 of these on a 3light $9 lightbar on a piece of Pergo, cover seed trays. Plants love these things, so cool you can keep them right next to seedlings & no burning, and they won't get leggy. Only lights I used that would not burn broccoli seedlings which are very delicate and prone to get leggy quick. Love these lights & the low energy consumption. I cloned some Blue Velvet wave petunias with these too. Plants love these lights.

Superior Spectrum Bulb Compared to Taotronics and Other Popular Bulbs, Made in USA
If you do a Google search for 'action spectrum photosynthesis' or other similar terms you'll see that this bulb's peaks at 660 nm and 430 nm coincide with the peaks of photosynthesis absorption for chlorophyll A, the most important photosynthetic molecule. It's worth getting for that reason aone. Other bulbs that you compare to on Amazon, like the Taotronic's bulb peak at 630 nm and 460 nm - which is inferior. Meaning, you're wasting energy and potential growth. Get the good stuff made in America with a quality warrantee.
