Would recommend!
Fairly easy to assemble although it would have been tricky for one person to put it together. Seems well made. Fit in the pickup bed like a dream. Did not use the rain shield so can't comment but it was wind proof. Used it out in the middle of nowhere and felt safe being up off the ground.

Beyond worth a try
Bought this to camp in Wyoming on the plains while prairie dog hunting in my 2021 Ram 1500. I haven't camped with it yet but the test setup was a breeze. It's tight and sturdy with a lot of adjustable straps for securing it to the truck. The only thing that isn't super obvious is that the top poles need to be positioned on the top of the bed rails/sides. It doesn't seem like it should but there is plenty of excess material for the floor. The flaps going over the side essentially need to start at the top inside edge of the bed rail/side. For the cost it's a big win. Definitely worth giving it a try. Given the cost I shouldn't be allowed to suggest anything but in case the manufacturer is interested... The hooks could be improved by dipping the entire hook in rubber/plastic Or by manufacturing the hook completely out of durable plastic. Being a manufacturing engineer I would say the later is the best solution. The attachment point to the vehicle is too subjective to think the very tip of the hook being protected is enough. Could save you guys from angry reviews of customers scratching their trucks due to high winds.

Exactly what I wanted
I was excited to receive this tent to use on the back of my truck. Fast delivery and it came out of the box looking great. I decided to put it together in garage to make sure I understood and it was fairly simple. Little of adjusting back and forth to get the rods evenly spaced, but not tough at all. Put it on the truck and it was a pretty good fit, not perfect, but good. Strapped down fairly easily although around the tailgate took some getting used to. Roomy inside, flaps seemed to seal well, decent height, and I didn’t feel like it was going to blow away off my truck. I left it in my garage overnight and then took it down in preparation for going camping. That’s when I found the issue. The little nylon pockets where the rod ends rest. The two in the back toward the cab of the truck were looking like they were going to break. I immediately started thinking about reinforcing them somehow, then realized if it’s doing this on a test run, how fast is this going to wear out and break? I’m guessing I’d have to buy another tent once a year or slightly more. At this price, it’s not worth buying yearly-ish. I think if the company makes the nylon rod end holders more durable, this would be great. I debated whether to get a replacement, but decided to try another brand so I started the return process. The company reached out to me and were really nice + concerned about the issue. I sent them pictures. They offered to replace, but I already have another brand being shipped. If I have problems with the other tent, I may give this unit another try. Maybe I just got an “off” unit, but there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the nylon. Maybe too much pressure on it. I was going to give a little less stars, but the customer service was surprisingly good and overall the tent met all my needs except durability Update: Customer service reached out to me and, even after I was refunded, wanted to try to make things right. They ended up shipping me another unit for me to try. I can’t say enough how impressed I am with the support received. They were very pleasant throughout and only wanted to help me. I tried the new unit and it did not have the same issue with the nylon pockets. I’m glad that turned out to be unusual. I’ve now used the tent 4 times and it’s great. Good fit on my truck. The only issue I’ve noticed over time is the liner is a tad thin. It’s already starting to show a couple minor pinpoint holes. It’s a good tent though. Definitely adding a star back and would recommend, especially if you can catch it on sale!

Great tent
Bought this tent for some dispersed camping in Washington St. I have a 2021 Tacoma SR with access cab and 6 foot bed and the tent fit perfectly. Setup is fairly easy, the first time I set it up took maybe 10 minutes. I read a previous review that mentioned the tent does not include a rain flap. My tent had a rain flap that was a tad bit of a pain to install, but now that I figured it out in my driveway, I am ready to start hitting the woods! Edit - After having this tent out in the woods a few times in the rain I can say that the tent is incredibly water proof. It was absolutely pouring down rain one night and the only moisture inside the tent was from condensation. Second Edit - My previous statement about it fitting perfect was not correct. This tent does not completely reach the end of the tail gate. At first I thought it was no big deal...until I took the tent down and found a large puddle had accumulated in the corner of the bed. The tent is supposed to go over the end of the tailgate so water does not get under the tent. Even though they market this tent for both short and long bed Tacomas it will not reach the end of the gate and you will get water under the tent.

Solid tent
Great tent. Fairly easy to put up by yourself. First time can be frustrating, but practice makes perfect. Used it in winter camping, in snow, sleet, rain. Stayed warm and dry. It is waterproofed, but would recommend sealing again just to make sure. Only complaint is it has no hooks inside beside the one in the middle at the top of the tent. Had to purchase magnetic hooks to hang my lights. Also would suggest making a designated cable/extension chord entry.

This was our first time camping in many years. I can’t sleep on the ground so we opted to try this. Well we were not disappointed! We used a little step ladder for going in and out ( I’m short haha) and it was great. Stayed cooler and not too humid inside. It rained the one night, we did add an extra layer of protection with another tarp but I don’t think it was needed.

I used this tent for the first time over the weekend and it held up very well. The sturdiness when its fully sinched to the truck is amazing. It withstood very high winds without issue. My only concern is the fiberglass poles are very weak, I should have upgraded to the aluminum ones, but wanted to save a bit of money. I had one of the main cross poles (green) snap upon first use when trying to assemble the tent. I didn't even have much force on it when it let go. I am hoping JoyTutus will be able to send me a replacement pole as they have done with previous customers, so I don't have to do a full return process when I have another camping trip coming up in 5 days.

It works well although the quality is not as good as I had hoped for but for the price I can't complain. Update: I did have an issue with one of the poles but this company really does back their product. They were quick to respond and resolve the issue. Good for them.
