Very easy to use and effective
Not being a great fan of DIY, I have generally struggled with cavity walls when putting up shelves and so on. These however, have proved ideal. They are easy to use and very effective at holding up shelves and guitar hangers (with guitars on them). I drill a small hole in the cavity wall, then insert the small sharp end of the rawl plug, then screw it into the wall with a reasonable sized Philips Screwdriver, and once it is flush with the wall it is set and holds fast. If you need to take them out in order to replace them with plaster etc, they simply unscrew. Excellent!

Strong and easy to use.
I don`t normally put shelves up on a plasterboard wall. (just a personal preferance) These plugs are excellent and did a very neat job.

A better fixing in plasterboard
Putting a regular plug into plasterboard just doesn't work - you need a special fixing like these that have a coarse screw that grips the plasterboard. You can get them in nylon or metal - these nylon ones are cheaper and work very well. Screwing them in needs care - make a pilot hole and don't rush it with an electric screwdriver - use a hand screwdriver and push hard and screw in slowly and carefully so as not to break up the plasterboard.

Do what they should
Have hung a few pictures with these - I found it a painless task...can't think of a reason not to give five stars. If all my pictures come down next week I will edit the review (-:

Great rawplugs but take care ……
These are great. As previous reviewers have said drill a small pilot hole first. Then carefully use an electric screwdriver to screw the plastic plugs in. Then screw the screws in - easy as that !
