Big Time BBQ Silicone Heat Resistant Waterproof Non Slip Grill Gloves

I'm glad I waited to review. If you are buying the gloves to handle heated hardware, then you may want to move on. High heat quickly makes its way through the silicone material. Maybe I expected to much but when I see "Resistant" I expect to be able to handle cast iron out of a 400 degree oven longer than a few seconds before my fingers burn. As far as grip and comfort go, the gloves are second to none. The texture and fit are great. The red color is cool and different. I use these gloves to handle low/medium heat items and that is it. Perhaps an inner-lining in addition to the silicone would solve the heat issue.

UPDATE 2023:I was wrong in my past review. I had an incident where I pulled something out of the oven and got burned through the gloves way too fast. Get insulated gloves - nothing else.- - - -(prior)Works much better than cloth, BUT, will still transfer heat if you hold too long. My girlfriend accidentally dropped one on a burner for several minutes. It did melt and burn through a little, but that was an extreme "test."

I am so pleased with the gloves I ordered! Before I even had a chance to use them to grill they helped me open a giant jar of pickles. Bonus! Moving the coals in my chimney from our fire pit to the grill has never been so painless. After years singed knuckles I can finally take my time getting my grill ready for cooking. Easy to order and fast delivery. Couldn't be happier!

I bought these after reading all the glowing reviews. First time I tried them was to pull a cookie sheet out of a 375 degree oven. Palm was fine. Fingers were burning before I could move it 2 feet to the counter. Maybe I did something wrong, so I tried again with the next cookie sheet. Same experience. So they work great so long as you don't get your fingers anywhere near the heat.

My husband used them and seem to like them.
