This bar really exceeded my expectations. It feels solid and well-balanced, with a clean, modern finish that looks great even in a small space. I’m using it in a compact bedroom setup, and at 4.9 feet it’s the perfect size — easy to maneuver without feeling flimsy or undersized. The knurling provides just the right grip, and it pairs perfectly with my smaller bench setup. It’s sturdy enough for real workouts yet light enough to move or store when not in use. For anyone building a home gym in limited space, this bar hits the sweet spot between quality, style, and practicality. Highly recommend.

If you're working out in a small space, this bar is perfect. It's not high end, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. The bearings work perfectly, the knurling is decent and the black finish is durable. I use it mainly for deadlifts and hip thrusts with bumper plates, and it's worked perfectly in my spare-bedroom-gym. You can spend three times as much on a barbell, but unless you plan on abusing it and dropping it with hundreds of pounds of weight, this might be the best affordable, small barbell you can get.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to this company ! It us the BEST product out there for your home gym. The Quality is top notch. It shows in handling everything. The weights themselves are easy to hold because of rubber around the edge. The holes help so very much for grabbing them. The crank that holds them on the bar is sturdy and easy to use. (compared to the pin or clamp) that are on others. I would ABSOLUTLY RECOMMEND these to anyone. What a nice addition to our other equipment. In fact we bought 2 sets so me and my husband can leave each of ours set up for our personal weight needs. The curl bar is just as nice of quality . When buying this type of equipment, ALWAYS buy the best for you and know it will last forever. Plus you have to love the quality of it and the comfort of it , or you won't use it! Spend the money ... I'm extremely impressed with this bar so far. I've used it for a few days now and done several exercises with it and have some opinions. To preface this review, I have been lifting for over 15 years now and have a small barbell fleet. Without getting too detailed, have some very nice bars in my opinion, and they consistently rank high in recommendations. What I kept missing was a shorty bar that a gym I used to go years ago had. I finally decided to try and find one of my own. I chose this 4.9ft bar because the shaft diameter is 28mm. The 4ft bar has a 25mm diameter, which is getting in the small side. For those curious, a typical multipurpose training bar will be 28mm. A deadlift bar usually has 27mm diameter, a power bar usually has a 29mm diameter, and a hybrid bar is usually 28.5mm diameter. Just keep in mind that a smaller diameter bar forces the pressure in to a smaller area, I mention this for people who are thinking about a shorty bar for hip thrusts. One might think the 3mm difference from 25mm to 28mm isn't that noticeable, but it's very noticeable to me going from bench press with a 29mm bar to deadlifts on my 27mm bar - and that's only a 2mm difference. Also, the loadable sleeve area is a lot less on the 4ft bar, so you can't load it up as much. Just two things to keep in mind. There can certainly be a good case for the smaller bar too, but I think most people would like this 4.9ft bar over the 4ft. bar. However I do wish we could have gotten some fun colors on the 4.9ft bar. So, I have used this bar for RDLs, and hip thrusts primarily. I threw it in to a landmine and it is not good for landmine work. The lever arm is too short, creating unfavorable angles for pressing overhead or t bar rows. You could definitely overhead press, and deadlift with this bar though, as long as your strength doesn't need to exceed the bar's weight capacity of 500lbs. The fit and finish were very nice. As other reviews mentioned the bar has a noticeable coating of oil on it to prevent oxidization I'm sure. I just wiped it down with a paper towel, I'm not too concerned with getting it bone dry. When I do barbell maintenance I use 3-in-1 oil on my other bars. The shipping tube was very impressive. Protected the bar well. I would recommend to Lions cool to screw or staple the end-caps in though. After sitting in the heat of the sun from the shipper, the adhesive on the tape apparently melted and when opening the box, the end cap literally slipped right off like the tape wasn't even there. This could cause issues in the future, and mine may have even slipped at one point because one end of the box was blown out already. The sleeves spin nicely and I'm honestly surprised there are bearings in this bar (I haven't opened the end caps yet to verify but see no reason to doubt). Bearings just increase the complexity and cost. Bushings only would be fine, in my opinion. If you're doing cleans and snatches, you're probably going to want a different full sized bar anyways, chiefly because the knurling doesn't go all the way to the sleeves anyways. This is common with many less expensive bars and honestly it doesn't need it anyways. While this bar doesn't honestly really fit in a modern squat rack or power cage, you could technically load it up on the j-cups with some light weight for some light weight high volume squats, or some good mornings. I would not recommend bench pressing this bar in this manner though. Tolerances seem nice and tight and I'm overall just really impressed with this bar. I highly recommend this bar if you want a smaller bar for tight spots, or want a easy to load bar for hip thrusts and RDLs. Or even doing some "power bar" lifts (bench, OHP, deadlift, and squat), as long as you realize the limitations.

This is a well crafted and solid Olympic Bar. I had picked the 4 ft bar but it was too short to use it for presses or light squats so I had to return it. I ordered the 4.9 bar (in black) and it is perfect size. Wide enough for presses, squats and benching ( depending on width of stand). Both bars are high quality. (Lionscool makes some great equipment, especially their leg curl / leg extension machine). If you need a high quality bar that is not full size get this one. I especially reccomend the 4'9" one as it seems the most versatile. Hpwever the 4 ft one may be good for smaller people and exercises such as hip thrusts and curls.

Impressed with the quality. Only use it for a limited number of exercises but it’s been in the gym for a number of months and is holding up very well and still looks like new.
