Awesome product for those with long, thick hair!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE these. I have a very thick head of hair and shed quite a bit while showering. Our apartment shower was backing up a lot, you'd be standing in a tub of water by the time you were done. It got to the point where we had to do something. I saw these had good reviews (especially for those with long, thick hair) and purchased them. Best decision ever! This thing pulled out a insane amount of hair (it was so gross but I'm so glad we did it), and and our shower seems to be draining like normal again. I highly recommend this to anyone who loses hair in the shower.

EEEEW! I was completely shocked by all the slimey, gooey hair that came out of my shower drain.
I am a single girl that doesn't know much about home maintenance type stuff, so I have always used draino or other liquid clog removers. Unfortunately they seemed to stop working. After doing some google-ing, I attempted to remove my drain stopper thing (yes very scientific term). But I am not he-man and couldn't remove it.So after more research, I came across these. They worked perfectly. I could maneuver around the drain stop thing. 5 minutes later I was amazed, or grossed out. Either way shower drain is now clog free.

Everyone needs these!!!!!!!!!
I have long hair, my daughter has long hair, and so does one son... Due to remodel, we've been using one bathroom - and the drain took a beating. It was just a kid bathroom for years so the hair collection had been going on for some time. Add to the hair, some built up creme rinse, and a soften bar of Dove soap - truly disgusting. My drain gave birth to something truly unholy when I used this apparatus. It was just vile. I could never post an image of something so gross - but we'll just say the tub drains at light speed now. These little gems will do the trick if you have any folks in your house with long hair - we all know it gathers in the drain. Price was awesome, shipping great.I will say these are pretty much one use each. After running it down the drain 3x to clean it out - many of the little barbs were broken. I didn't care, because they died a heroic death grabbing cloggy hair. Don't expect to buy one per bathroom and keep it for years. Just buy this pack, you'll be good for a couple of years. :)

Does Its Part
Edit 5/27/18:So I used one of these in my bathroom sink today (without the stopper in), and even during gentle use, at least half of the spikes came off. These are pretty flimsy, and I'd recommend looking elsewhere.Original Post:I'm used to using the snakes that come with Draino, but when I went to buy a replacement, the store was out. These from Amazon are much thicker, which is nice, and sturdier, but the spikes aren't as strong. By the time I was done wrestling with my bathtub drain, about 1/3 of the spikes had fallen off in the drain (I am not a strong woman), so it seemed a little counter-productive? Glad this came with 4, since they are definitely reusable, but obviously not if the spikes fall off.

My shower drain was super clogged, to the point where my 10 minute ...
Does what it's suppose to and is gross! I actually thought my drain would have more in it than what was pulled out, but it got enough out. My shower drain was super clogged, to the point where my 10 minute shower would turn into a bath by the time I was done. I used this first to get the big clogs out and them use Lye Drain Opener and within a few days my drain is completely clear. Happy with the results.

it is totally gross and disgusting. Unless you have a high tolerance for slime
I've spent a fair amount on both chemical and the bio type drain openers, and they work to some degree, but they always take time and never get it to the point where I would say the line is totally clear. Decided to try these due to other reviews and wow, the drain was clear in just a few minutes. Yes, it is totally gross and disgusting. Unless you have a high tolerance for slime, it's a good idea to order some rubber gloves too. Also, the spikes on these are kind of sharp so keep out of reach of children. I did 3 different drains with one and it doesn't seem at all worn out. I rinsed mine off for reuse, but for sure I understand being so grossed out that some people just throw them away. Clearing drains is a truly revolting task, but at least it's easy to get 'er done with this tool.

Horrifying (in a good way) results
These babies worked as intended to deliver me some truly gruesome hair babies from our drains. The length on these are nice and I think go deep enough for any standard clog. 1 piece was sturdy enough to clear 2 tub drains that had been neglected for years (my daughter joining my wife in the long hair club was apparently the tipping point for our plumbing). By the time the second was finished, some of the barbs had started to bend or break, but it's not like I wanted to keep the thing around after what it had been too. Luckily, for the price of a bottle of Drano that wouldn't work, you get 4 of them. I'll buy again when I've used these up.

It works!
Doesn't come with directions but it's pretty self explanatory. You shimmy it down and wiggle it around. Once you feel resistance (that's the hair getting latched) you pull it up. Do it a few times until the drain is free of gunk.I'm not the strongest person in the world (petite gal with the upper body strength of a trex) and it wasn't hard to pull. It did take a bit of work, but it wasn't impossible. It's easy to use.Once I pulled all the hair out, the drain of my shower works better. Now I don't have to stand in a pool of water!I was worried that the plastic would break when I pulled off the gunk, but it didn't. It's quite durable. You can also re-use it since it's easy to wash off the gunk.Word of warning: you should probably wear some gloves unless you like holding gunks of hair with your bare hands.
