Is at best an OK Bike
So I should start by saying I bought this directly from a local retailer rather than through Amazon. I purchased after looking at several reviews. I wish I could have tried it before buying it though. So the first thing about the bike you need to know is that you will immediately need to buy a new seat and bike peddles for the bike. This was something suggested in other reviews and I agree with so was semi-prepared for. Unless you are a petite 6 year old you will need a new seat because it is this tiny skinny rock hard thing that if you sit on it it will be up inside you (literally). I personally went with the Giddy Up! bike seat ordered from Amazon. The weights will no longer fit in the bike rack if you change the seat btw. The peddles are meddle spike things that have this weird harness over them. Being generous these peddles are simply dangerous and have already scraped and cut my feet and ankles to bloody shreds on them. Next pay check I am definitely ordering safer peddles. The next issue is I am a 6'1" man. Even at the closet settings on the bike I can barely reach the first handle bar position. This would not be so bad, but I had specifically gotten this bike because of the tablet holder feature so I could read while cycling. Unfortunately the tablet stand is so far away from reach that you basically have to stop cycling get off the bike and move over to the tablet if you want to touch it to turn pages. This also makes starting the display buttons hard as well since you have to do this standing reach that is not particularly safe as you get on the bike to get the display going.Once you change seats the bike is not bad to ride, though is a bit awkward because of the length of the seat to the handle bars (which yes have been adjusted to closet setting). I needed the bike for cardiovascular so had wanted the bike on the lowest setting anyway for a faster peddle rate. That said for those of you looking for adjustable settings in the wheel tension this is not the bike for you. Settings 1 through 14 have no appreciable difference in tension. Though level 15 and 16 do slightly increase the tension level. And the back plastic leg/stand piece keeps popping out of the back of the bike (which is a manufacturer installed item so not a "stupid me who is not an mechanical engineer" mistake)Considering the amount of money this bike costs I personally would look at other options if I had it to do over again.Oh PS. The "tablet stand" is not deep enough to support any tablet that has a safety case on it. As such if you place a tablet on it it will be precariously perched over the slot the for the tablet, so is a fall risk for your tablet.

A solid entry level indoor bike with an extensive content library through iFit
The ProForm Carbon CX is what I would call an entry-level spin bike with enough features to give you a quality workout. It isn't a $2,000 machine, but it gets the job done quite well. I've done a few dozen workouts on mine, so here are a few points to help you make an informed decision:* During setup, you have to pull wires up through the bike frame and up into the handlebar tube. In my experience, the connectors could have been of higher quality. They seem a bit fragile. Be careful snapping them together. Also, once you have the handlebar assembly assembled, be careful not to pinch the wires inside with the tightening handle.* Some reviewers have said that the saddle and pedals need to be replaced. It depends on your situation. The pedals that come with the bike have two sides. They are standard toe cage pedals on one side, and the bottom side allows you to pedal without using the cages. These are the same type of pedals that come with many entry to mid-level road bikes. A lot of people eventually replace them with clipless pedals such as Shimano SPDs. It's sort of a misnomer to call them clipless because you clip into them with a recessed cleat in the bottom of compatible shoes. The seat is nothing to write home about, but it isn't absolutely bad. It's a lightly padded, narrow seat that is a bit wider than what you'd find on a standard road bike. If you haven't ridden a lot recently, it is going to be uncomfortable until your sit bones become accustomed to it. That is any cyclist's dilemma. Once your sit bones get used to a narrow seat, it isn't a problem. But there is an anatomical "learning curve."* The bike has 16 resistance levels, which is less than a lot of bikes, but the iFit trainers can control the resistance through the app when you're doing recorded outdoor training sessions. I'm certified as an indoor cycling instructor, and my experience is that when you're pedaling at 16, or full resistance for the CX, you'll be sweating pretty good. It isn't as much resistance that many other bikes will allow you, but it is still a good workout.* You will want to watch a YouTube video on how to properly set up a road bike to your height, arm and leg length so that riding is comfortable and safe. The dynamics are the same for an actual road bike and an exercise bike. It makes a lot of difference. The seat and handlebar adjustments on the CX accomodate most exercisers, though if you are very tall or very short, it might not be the best bike for you.* This is a belt-driven exercise bike with magnetic resistance. There aren't a lot of complicated parts to break. Most issues people have are tech related, and that often has to do with your wifi, network, or other settings that can interfere with connectivity. iFit customer service (you'll get the quickest response by going to their Facebook page (iFit) and contacting them through Facebook Messenger from their page. They will have you up and running in no time.* To sum up, this is a relatively cheap, sturdy, entry-level bike that allows you to access the iFit training catalog through the connected app (subscription just like Peloton and others). It can help you to achieve your health and fitness goals. It is a "good bike."

The SW will make it useless 15 months after you get it
I bought this bike's equivelant (Sport CX) at Sam's Club 17 months ago. It was fine until about 2 or 3 months ago. The app interrupted my workout with a mandatory update for the bike. I attempted to update the bike, but the update continuously fails. Now the bike's computer will not work. The Proform/iFIT update made my bike useless, and now they want to charge me for 135.00 for service if I want it fixed. Customer Service spends more time responding to bad reviews than helping the customer out of the mess they created.

Don't buy
Bought this bike from another online retailer about a year ago and had been dealing with recurring "CH1" error ever since. The magnetic resistance doesn't work due to this error, which basically means the bike is useless. Warranty and customer support sucks. I now have a >$500 paperweight. DO NOT buy this bike.

Great piece of equipment
Outstanding little bike to pair with IFIt. Easy to assemble and move. Takes up little space. Very happy with the purchase.
